Good insta camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very convenient and handy camera. It is easy to use and quick. Taking a selfie is not that easy as you can't see if you are in frame or not. The pictures themselves are on the small side. Charging the camera was quick. Loading the film was painless. This is a fun camera but not for serious photos.

Nostalgic fun
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a super fun camera to use and reminds me of high school all over again! We ended up using the camera to produce images for our passports and worked just fine with the right paper. I would highly recommend this for any photography enthusiasts who wants to see a modern take on some old tech!

Great camera and printer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is a nice size and takes decent looking pictures. Loading the camera is straightforward and the film comes with a sticky back that you can take off and stick to anything. I think that is a nice feature as we were taking photos and then sticking them to the refrigerator. This has all the standard features a simple point and shoot camera would. I grew up with the real polaroid and now my kids are loving this camera as they like the nostalgia. What is really great about this camera is inside the box is a QR code and it loads the app on your phone where you can also print photos from your phone which was a huge plus. The only con is the photos are only 2" by 3" but the plus is these come out and you can't smear them which everyone that used the old fashion polaroid you had to fan it to dry the photo. Great camera/printer with some nostalgia to it.

Fun Instant Camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This instant print camera is lots of fun. Very easy to setup and start using. The camera is a lot of fun because you can take pictures and then instantly print them and stick them wherever you want. The nice thing about this camera is that you don't need to connect it to your phone to work. You can just load up the special photo paper and start taking pictures. There are a few simple options like using vivid (which makes it a little lighter and brighter) and adding a frame, which makes it look more like a vintage picture. However, if you do want to connect to your phone there is a Bluetooth connection that you can use to make some adjustments, as well as a memory card slot to store info right in the camera. I would point out that the pictures are pretty small and the quality is not nearly as good as a traditionally printed photo, but that is to be expected on a fun little camera like this. I should also point out that after about 20 pictures the photos started coming out as completely black. It appears that the camera was defective. Also, it was very difficult to contact Canon because the camera is so new that there were no voice prompts or search results on their 800 number or website to get support. Hopefully this gets updated soon. I was able to get a replacement camera.

Very limited but fun camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Canon Ivy 2 is a decent toy that I'd only give to a kid to play with. You can print stickers from your captures and what child doesn't like stickers? The downsides are that it's not at all good for posterity. The camera can take photos and store them to SD but they're limited to 5MP. With that you can't print from storage. You can only print the shot you immediately taken. So if you want to reprint an image you're out of luck. You can't use any app to connect to the camera to use an external printer, nor can you use it as an external USB printer. You have one shot to get that perfect pic for your sticker. I think any child would have a wild time with the camera but anything more than basic use you're better off just leaving this one be. If you're going to take a photo to review later any phone will do a better job. Sad that you can't print those photos you already have.

Understandably limited for the price, still good.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You’re not going to get professional results. What you will get is the instant satisfaction of a photo in hand that can immediately go on to whatever surface it will adhere to. The best I can describe this experience is this is the digitized version of a typical home photography experience from the late 90’s. It’s a tightly wrapped and well executed ball of nostalgia for those that grew up in that era. But with far better results that literally stick. Using the mirror on the front to get a selfie or even looking through the viewfinder to frame a picture is a complete analog experience. There is no timer. There is however a MicroSD slot for digital storage. So it’s not as if the photo you just took is a one off deal as it was with the first generation of instant cameras. Which, to me, is probably it’s best feature. It provides a way to still be able to enjoy a captured moment in time in both an immediately available tangible form and one that can be revisited in digital form across almost any device.

Very Fun Camera for Kids!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this camera for my neice and she loved it. It is simple to operate and easy to use. The quality of the pictures is standard for a point and shoot . The only downside is the printer is not the best quality but it is meant to be a fun printer for quick picks to stick anywhere not meant to be a high quality picture printer. It's amazing they even fit a printer in that small of a frame. It's a fun camera for travelling and for kids, other than that i don't see many sues for it but the price point makes it a nice gift that will provide a lot of fun for the young photo enthusiast. FUN and AFFORDABLE!

Fun Instant Print Camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had a blast playing around with this camera and sticking random photos eveywhere. The mirror on the front for lining up selfies has been a big hit with the kids.

Frustrating to use and expensive to maintain
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I miss Polaroid cameras for the instant film development feature. I had hoped this camera would replicate that experience. Instead it only replicates frustration. There is a single LED status light at the top of the unit that flashes different colors based on what the camera is doing which was more often than not making random noises that had most of us scratching our head asking "so is it printing???" When it does print, the image quality of the prints is pretty cool for a device this tiny, but also terrible in that vivid prints look washed out and color printers look faded. The Black and White prints actually look wonderful so if Black and White is what you are after this makes a great print. The battery life is abysmal. I made the mistake of fully charging it then expecting it to be ready for use the next day. The next day we got one photo taken and then the battery died which spoiled a lot of the experience. The camera ships with a 10 pack of the paper that you burn through that pretty quickly just trying to learn what the flashing lights mean. At $10 for an additional 20 sheets of paper, this camera will get expensive quick. Instead of printing you can opt to store the photos on an SD card but I found myself asking why I would bother doing this when kids have tablets and smartphones these days. Overall this product was fun for the first pack of photos and lost most its appeal shortly after.

Fun Camera with Flaws
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is a lot of fun. It's more portable than the polaroid type instant cameras and the Zink sticker film is great (although my kids love stickers too much - getting tired of taking pictures off of things). However, there are some flaws that caused me to give only a two star rating. First, the picture quality is not great. I realize it's an instant film camera so the quality will not be the best. But the prints lack the same charm that you get from a polaroid type instant film camera. So you just get bad prints. Second, the instructions that come with the camera are terrible. When I took my first picture, the paper insert you insert with the film comes out. I figured it was just a dead exposure like polaroids have when you insert new film. But the camera kept whirring and whirring and the actual picture came out. I thought it was already broken, and almost tried to turn it off while it was printing. Also, it has room for an SD card, but it's not a digital camera. So what does it do? Does it save picture you take? Or can you print out pictures from the SD card? There's not buttons for printing so I assume it's not the latter, but the instructions are silent about it. Third, the printing seems slower than a polaroid type camera. Fourth, the selfie mirror on the lens is not great. It's better than nothing, but it's hard to see especially if there's a lot of light and glare. Finally, the backing of the Zinc film is very difficult to peel off to use as a sticker. Pretty much every time I fray a corner to the picture trying to separate the backing. Overall a fun camera that I probably won't really use once the novelty of the sticker film wears off. No one is expecting the best picture quality from a camera like this, but it could be better. Or at least, more charming bad like a polaroid.

What was this supposed to be?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not impressed with this camera and I was definitely not the target demographic for it. Canon is typically held in high regard for quality, especially optically quality. This product surprisingly disappoiints as it tries to be a new generation instant camera. I found the colors to be hued green on every picture I took with it. Canon is a great company, but this product is too much of a gimmick for me.

Good modern option for quick and easy photos
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this camera is great. It gets the job done and I love that you can see yourself in the lens as it helps you center yourself if you want to take a selfie! This camera captures vibrant colors and you have the option of added a border and/or take a black & white photo. It's definitely one of the more modern options for instant photos so keep that in mind. I use this camera when I want to capture scenery with lots of color, not so much when I want an old fashioned polaroid vibe. Great camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. She loves it! It takes great pictures and the peel and stick photo paper allows kids to stick pix on notebooks or in diaries or wherever.
