I returned it because there was not a view finder or screen to see the pictures. It was for my daughter.

    Nice simple camera

I received this camera fot free in exchange for a review. I like the simplicity of the design overall to make it more "point and shoot." The wheel on the back to choose the shooting mode is very easy to use, but does require using a fingernail or something similar so I don't believe it could be turned on by accident. There is no option to review pictures, or to really see the picture before you take it, so how good the picture turns out is based either on luck or by practice. The clip is very nice, and allows the camera to easily be attached to a belt loop for easy access. The accompanying app requires little set up, but after that is pretty easy to use. The app let's you see the photos or videos you've taken and then download them to use elsewhere. I don't appreciate that the app is mandatory in order to have full use of the camera, but I understand that it is part of streamlining the experience so I accept it. Overall it is a nice simple camera for on the go, and it would be nice for people who just want to be able to take quick pictures but aren't worried about professional quality.

I received a sample product for this review. So the initial set up was simple after the first full charge up. The pictures do great in high lit areas but tend to lack in clarity elsewhere. When the feature worked properly, I enjoyed being able to live stream the camera to my phone. I like the cameras mobility and ability to be quite accessible for a quick nature shot. I feel the connectivity between mobile and their app could be improved because I really loved the live stream feel with it. For now, ill use this as a spare quick shot camera that i'd be comfortable letting the little ones handle.

    Great little camera!

I received this free IVY REC Outdoor Camera (Riptide) to review. I found it to be a great little camera, unbelievably small for all that it can do! I was able to take clear crisp photos as good if not better than my smartphone camera. What I also found surprising was even though it is advertised as an outdoor camera, it takes great pictures indoors too. There is no flash feature for indoors, but as long as there is light in the room, pictures come out great. The video option is doable. Not necessarily the best but it does what it says and for those moments when a short video is needed, it is fine. I like the fact that it can all be downloaded to your phone or computer later. I think this little camera is marketed for younger people for it's usability to travel and rugged exterior. I took photos in the rain without worry. If dropped, it can withstand the pressure. The camera itself has an attachable clip which makes it easy to carry; I clipped mine on my purse strap. The only drawback I personally had with the camera is trying to open the little door for inserting the MicroSD card and the cord for the USB port to download and charge. My husband had no problem opening it but I simply couldn't manage it. Perhaps not the best feature if you are older, have arthritis or other issues with strength. I would recommend this product especially for children when they want a camera of their own but might drop an expensive smartphone when taking a picture.

    Lightweight and Cute

I received the Ivy Rec Outdoor Camera free to provide my honest review. Upon testing the product over a weeks time, I conclude that the camera is very nifty and is different than any other camera I have ever used. I love the application that you are able to download on your phone that you can see any videos or picture that have been taken and save accordingly. I do not particularly like the "lens" in which you look through to take that picture when it comes to trying to take selfies if you are out and about and want to capture the mountains behind you. You actually have to pull up your phone to see if you are in alignment. Overall the camera gets a good review from me as it is lightweight, you can clip it on your belt or backpack, easy to connect wirelessly to the app, and have a decent megapixel for such a small camera (like a cellphone - 13 megapixels and 1080p for video).

Decent photos - not able to view them on phone.

I should mention that I received a free sample of this camera in exchange for writing this review, but I LOVE this camera. I recently went on a trip with my family to Colorado to go skiing. Not only was it great because I could take pictures without the fear of dropping my phone, the camera also held a charge and stayed "on" in the cold temperatures - unlike my phone. The picture quality was also really good. Not as good as a new iphone, but definitely produced clear, good photos and videos. One thing I'm struggling with (not sure if it doesn't work or if I haven't been able to figure it out) is being able to view the photos on my phone. My understanding is that the camera was supposed to connect to my phone via bluetooth so that I could easily see the pictures I took. I'm not sure if the issue is my phone or the camera but this feature isn't working.

I received a free sample in exchange for agreeing to write a review. The IVY REC Outdoor Camera (Riptide) is so cute and can easily clip on your backpack, purse or even your belt buckle. The only thing I didn’t like Is trying to set up the camera it wasn’t an easy process but once I figured it out and set up it works so well! The videos and photos come out so clear and crisp which easily saves on my phone. Overall, I loved the camera and would recommend it to anyone looking for an outdoor camera with many features including being waterproof that won’t break the bank and small enough to take anywhere!

I received this action camera for free to try out. Everything about it was awesome except the ability to stay connected to the device you downloaded the app too. Constant disconnects but the removable memory card gets by this glitch. Clear photos and great quality videos which is expected from anything to do with Canon products.

    Just terrible

I bought this as I like the concept. Poor App, frequently fails to connect, when it does it takes some time. Poor quality photos. Reading the other reviews Canon seem to just indicate a Firmware update is required. I've tried to follow the (unclear) instructions to do this (I work in IT) and seems like I have the latest (2.0.00.003.2) but the picture is still terrible. I won't be using this - I'm sure I could have bought a very low end smart phone for $80 and ended up with better quality product.
