Replacement

It was way better than this Canon. It allowed me to print on both sides. The Canon doesn't. Also, the Canon constantly shuts off. I have to go turn it on when I want to print. Which is very annoying. I'm hoping it will at least save me money on ink. I shall see.

Constantly needs alignment and nozzle clean/flush

Just like the Epson this printer gets constantly misaligned with line streaks in prints. Requires constant print alignments, head cleaning & flushing and you're lucky IF they work at all. I don't print a lot which I'm sure contributes to the problem with ink drying up etc. When you bought a printer cheap and had to constantly buy ink carts the bloody printer printed flawlessly for YEARS with an occasional alignment needed. NOW you pay a lot for the printer with ink that lasts forever BUT constantly fails to print correctly. This printer I'll be taking outside and doing an Irish Jig on it!! Piece of Garbage!

Love my printer!

I was hesitant to change from an Epson printer to a Canon, but feel it was a very good decision. This printer works very well for printing photos as well as my original artwork. I love that it takes heavier art paper!

The Canon is much lighter, must be of lighter plastic. Print quality seems to be the same. I am very happy about the refillable inkwells and not having to buy cartridges, although I'm not far enough in to experience that saving yet. My use is personal and I may do less printing than average.
