great all in one mega tank inkjet printer. I love it when you don't have to buy ink cartridges. The bottles of ink that are needed to fill the ink tanks are way better than ink cartridges. The tanks that hold the ink are a much better way to supply the ink to the printer. The bottles of ink are alot cheaper than ink cartridges and goes alot farther in printing. Printing copies on the printer is very easy from a computer or scanning from the printer itself. I would definitely recommend buying a mega tank printer if a person is in need of a new printer. It is much better buying bottles of ink instead of ink cartridges.

I'm happy with this printer. I like that I'm not always running out of ink. I'm happy with the print quality. I like that I can put one kind of paper in the back load paper feed and another in the main feed. The only things that I would change is that it won't wake itself up for a print after being idle for awhile, and the little screen on the front is hard to read. But, yes, I would buy this again.

So I really like this printer and I haven't really had any problems, I have some questions initially when I was saying it up and I called Canon and they were super super helpful so there's your great support on this product. That being said the print quality is just ok, on standard regular printer paper you're going to get some banding and lines and that doesn't seem to be a way around that, they're not overwhelming but they are definitely there, seems to be a bad printing profile from what I was able to gather, something they could fix with a firmware update but likely won't. When you want to use this as a photo printer the quality does vastly improve, there isn't really any banding to be seen anymore, More proof of the bad profile. now for my perspective the quality could be a little better it seems to be an uneven mix of colors leaving you as a slightly magenta cast, but this is coming from a photographer and many people who don't have an incredibly keen eye may never even notice.
The last thing I'd say is the price point, realistically for something this expensive you basically only paying for the mega tank technology, wish let's be honest is just a way for us to spend less money on ink and I feel like they're trying to make up for it. Considering there's like $25 and $50 printers out there I wouldn't say that this is 12 to 6 times better than those, it's definitely better but it could use some refinements to really shine.

The main reason for the decision to purchase this printer was the large ink tanks. Even though this printer isn't the cheapest, the reoccurring ink purchase will be very cost effective.
I have only just done setup, but so far, I think the print quality is good. Copy function also worked well. And, prints well from tablets / smartphone.
However, setup was a nightmare, with a constant error - even from different devices. Calling Canon resulted in a "tech" telling me I had an "IP error"?? I think the error was a conflict in the Canon web site. I ended up doing a search for drivers and software, then did a manual download and install. That worked perfectly.
Another nice feature is the paper tray holds quite a lot of paper - far more than my old printer.
Construction seems fine - but time will tell.
Overall, a printer worth considering.

Very good resolution and love having all that ink in this type printer instead of having to be concerned with ink cartridges! Very easy connect to our phones. And we are very happy to be able to print back to back pages without having to flip the paper, but disappointed that option only appears when using the laptop, and we cannot find it when printing from our phones.

Like the size, the large ink tanks, the printing and scanning has been nice. The display is very hard to read, the software and set up should had been easy and was not and manuals are not clear on settings as is the display on the front.

Took a while to set up, wish the screen was backlit and had a little trouble Getting rear tray to work for photo paper, no big deal though. Remember, control pad flips up for use. Make sure to flip it up or youll get an error code. Overall Im very happy with print quality. Nice printer!

I have been a loyal Canon inkjet printer user for many years having kept an MG7520 going far past it's expected lifespan by replacing printheads and periodic deep cleaning.
But I eventually got the dreaded "Ink absorber pads nearly full" warning and I had no choice but to look for a new printer.
I did a lot of research online and just wasn't finding a Canon inkjet printer that looked right.
I needed 2-sided printing (with a Mac) and there were not many models with that feature.
I finally called Canon Support and hit the jackpot -- getting connected to an amazing Tech person named Dylan who spent over 30 minutes with me.
Dylan knew the Canon printer product line cold and we went through various models until he arrived at the G6020.
I had not even come across the G6000 series online -- so it was a revelation when I read about the Megatank ink supply.
Goodbye ink cartridges.
And it could print 2-sided copies with the Mac OS.
Set-up was a breeze -- especially since I use a USB cord.
The printer is fast, super sharp and works flawlessly with my Mac.
The one tiny flaw (as others have mentioned) is the LCD display which is ridiculously small and unlighted.
Okay so the printer is 99 out of 100.
I really don't need the printer display much since I use the Mac Print Dialog Menu for nearly all printing.

Loved it for the first two weeks then things started going downhill quick. I print a lot for my art business and I thought this printer would be the perfect solution since it is made for high volume small businesses and uses bottles of ink instead of cartridges. Well I started having to call Canon technical support about 2 weeks in. Paper kept jamming, printer not printing crisp and having wavy looking printed letters, printer stopped feeding, etc. every time customer service was great once I finally got them on the phone (usually held for 15-30 minutes before a rep was available). One day I had to call twice for two different issues in the same day.
Well finally at less than a month in the print heads clogged even though I print lots daily.
Canon replaced the printer. Had to send in my receipt and they shipped a new one out. It was a fairly fast turn around (around 4 days from start to finish).
Hooked new replacement up. I was good to go. Printed wonderfully. Didn’t jam. Paper fed. I thought I was good to go until today (two weeks after having the new replacement printer). Suddenly in the middle of a print job the cyan stops working. Went through the normal routine of clean cycle, nozzle check, deep clean cycle, nozzle check. Repeated this 4 times then finally did an ink flush which uses like half a tank of ink.
I’m almost in tears at this point. I have orders to get out and my brand new replacement printer is now useless.
I call Canon technical support again. The rep was wonderful once again and I told him all the steps I did. Basically once again they are going to replace it.
Maybe the third printer will be the charm. I hope so at least.

I have had many cheap printers in the past and all of them suck ink like no tomorrow, especially when you are printing fotos like I am. This printer is going to impress you when you start printing and the ink don’t go dow. To give you an example:
The last printer that I had was a Pixma MG3620 and the factory ink run out after 12 5x7 fotos. The XL replacement cost me 60 dollars and they last me for 27 5x7.
This printer is is right now on 3 quarter of tank and it has printed around 70 5x7, and 10 8x10.
Problems:
- The primer turn off after several hours of inactivity, and you have to manually turn it on.
- You need to calibrate the printing colors To match your screen.
- Windos 10 likes to glitch out and you have to uninstall and reinstall de printer every now and then. With the phone app works like a charm.
- some time it will forget that you have paper all this time in the batton draw, and it will print out your documents in your photo paper. (Only ir yo photo paper match the size of the plain paper off course)

To this point I found this printer to be super easy to set up Prince very fast and it's very fast I have read other reviews and seen that it is difficult to set up but that has not been my experience I set up on my wife's laptop in my main PC

Had this printer for two weeks now, after overcoming the wifi setup challenge it’s been working well for us. Been using black only laser printers for several years because we just couldn’t deal with the color cartridge merry go round anymore.
Cons:
- Wifi setup was difficult especially if you have a secure (challenging) password. After trying different methods in the setup instructions I finally attached a USB cable to it from my laptop, downloaded the sw package from Canon and the process went smoothly. There’s not a USB cable in the box so you might want to have one handy.
- Printer puts itself to “sleep” (more like full power off) after an hour or so and then you have to hit the power button to wake it up to print something. Would prefer it to be able to go into a low power standby mode and then wakeup on it’s own when something comes through to be printed, not always convenient to walk to the other room to turn it on first.
Pros:
- Having cost efficient color printing again is great, though I wouldn’t consider it photo image quality, but for school work that needs color it’s totally filled the bill.
- Filling the ink tanks was quick and clean, no mess.
- Prints well on plain copy paper, haven’t tried any card stock yet but it has a secondary paper input for envelopes and other media types.
- Printing from mobile devices works well with phones and tablets.
Overall very satisfied with the printer.

This printer does everything I need it to do. The ink tanks are massive and easy to see where the ink level is at. The paper tray holds an adequate amount of paper for the average user.
Set up was extremely easy except the interface is a bit cumbersome to use a better screen would be nice.
There were some reviews that stated the printer shuts down and needs to be turned on when you want to use it. To prevent this just READ THE MANUAL and adjust the shut off feature so the printer doesn’t shut itself off.

I bought this printer for an office that prints roughly 500 pages in color each month. I did extensive research and found this to be the best bang for my buck. Unboxing the printer was easy and the printer itself was much lighter than I anticipated it to be. The instructions that came with the printer were a bit difficult to understand; however, Canon provides a QR code that links directly to a video for each step. The videos were extremely easy to follow and I had the printer set up in no time.
I am giving the printer 4/5 stars for three reasons. One being that it was a bit challenging to figure out how to connect the printer to the wifi for wireless printing. The second being it is a bit noisy when printing. Last, the printer goes in "Idle" mode in between uses. You have to press the power button for it to turn back on and print.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this printer. Its overall print is sharp, with very crisp colors. A great benefit is that the ink replacement is affordable, even though it doesn't seem like I will need to replace any time soon (with printing 500 pages of color right off the bat)!

Printer has many really useful features. Installation and initial operation a bit of a challenge. Solid operation in all functions and I really like not having to frequently change expensive print cartridges. It has already paid for itself in ink expense. Information module has no backlight and can be difficult to see.

SO FAR SO GOOD. EASY SETUP. LOVE THE FACT THAT I WILL NOT BE SPENDING A FORTUNE ON INK. GREAT PURCHASE. ONLY DOWNSIDE I SEE SO FAR IS DISPLAY NEEDS TO BE BACK LIT.

had a cheapo printer for 3 years. we probably spent $60/month on ink for our business. This thing we have printed probably double what we normally print in the month and its only about 20% used for ink and the replacements are like $30? so we are saving about $500 a year in ink by getting this. very good buy and very little trouble setting up. only downside is not a great display, but if you only use it for printing from computers its not noticeable. paper tray takes about a 1/4th-1/3rd of a ream of paper which is pretty good. Could probably fit more but we do not want to overload it.

I have always liked Canon products and this printer is no exception. It prints fast and clear. I like that it has a bottom feed tray and a rear feed tray. I keep premium paper in one and standard paper in the other so I no longer have to switch out the paper depending on the printing job. For the size, I was expecting it to be loud, but its actually one of the quietest printers I've had.
