I read a lot of reviews and researched many brands before deciding on the Canon 7020. The set up was pretty straight forward. Filling the ink tanks was also pretty easy. I love the fact that I can print virtually anything from my phone and I don’t need to go through the Canon app unless I have to change a setting. I love that this machine has super ink tanks because it helps us save a bit of money. The only negative I have so far is that the panel backlight is very dark. The room has to be well lit in order to see the info on the panel. Canon dropped the ball on this one. I had a Canon MP610 prior to this purchase and the panel was large, bright, and in color. Overall, I find it to be a great printer. I’ve had it for just about a month and have used it several times, no issues at all. Prints great in color and in black and white. Relatively fast.

Love it, but it is slower than I am used to. I had a laser printer for years and I was done with the expensive cost of replacing the toners. So I did my research, and read reviews, and researched some more, and finally decided to go with Cannon. The photo printing is FANTASTIC! I am blown away by the quality. I used Cannon premium photo paper, and it does not disappoint. I have printed a ton of full page pictures, about 30, and the ink has not lowered even 1/8th of the tanks. Documents print crisp and clear, although I need to mess with settings a bit more because black is not printing black black, its a little lighter then I would prefer. The Negatives I have: The laser printer I had was a beast, it would take anything and print on it, no matter what. This printer is a little more sensitive and finicky. It doesn't like the 32lb Premium Paper I use, and will crunch up the corner occasionally when printing on it. It also is finicky about the front info screen being tilted and the back paper feed cover being open. Both of those have to be in the correct position or it will not print. Other people have also complained about the led screen not lighting up...yes it is tiny and hard to see without getting close...but its not a huge deal. The speed is what gets me....I get impatient. This printer is slow, super slow. But, all good things take time.

I’m replacing my 3rd Pixma 922 (also a great printer!). BB had the G-6020 in stock and in the store but not the 7020. The main difference I can tell is the 7020 has the auto document feeder. I waited for a week and the 7020 became available online so I ordered it and got it 3 days later. I pulled all the old Canon software and started new. It took about an hour to unpack and load up on my desktop and my laptop. Instructions were easy and I set up everything with no problems. There are a few minor changes I’m getting used to, but so far the transition has been smooth. My only two complaints are the small, unlit screen on the front: it could either be larger or backlit. The 2nd-BB is not carrying the ink in store yet. Not that I will need it anytime soon-the 7020 comes with ALOT of ink, but I’d still like to know its available. Yes, this is a little more than what most people want to spend for a printer, but I’m very happy with the performance. I highly recommend the Canon G 7020!

What this printer does, it does well. Print quality is very good, The speed is adequate. Economy should be excellent. Not only do you have the visual levels for the ink tanks, but the cost of ink is considerably less than the cartridge printers I've been using. Photo printing, using glossy photo paper, is excellent. Drafts printed on plain paper will be disappointing, faded and washed out. Setup was fairly easy, the step by step directions take you through the steps. If you run into an issue, help is another matter, the troubleshooting is vague and confusing. I had an issue during setup where the printer kept telling me to reseat the rear paper feed. It took me half an hour to realize that there was a feed door in back that had opened in shipping and I had to flip it down. I had no difficulty at all, connecting the printer to my Apple products and printing from them worked fine. I can't attest to wifi operation as I have the printer hardwired to my router. Shortcomings: Documentation is poor and solving a problem can be frustrating. The control panel display is not backlit. It really needs to be.

Setting printer up was typical of other printers I've had, except for the wireless portion. Instructions for wireless started out clearly but started getting vague. It took me several tries to get both my windows computers and also a 5 year old Mac Pro to connect to the wireless. Other users complained of having to manually turn the printer on, but the online instruction manual made it very clear to automatically turn on and time off. I had expected photos to be poor and had expected to need an inkjet that used cartridges, but have been pleased with the photos. I would have given it 5 stars if the wireless had been easier to connect. It is great to print everything with color without having to think about the $90 set of cartridges.

Took a little getting used to but love this printer! The app/print from phone setup could be a little more user friendly but not bad at all once you figure it out. Laptop configuration was a breeze though! I love the amount of paper this thing holds and the ink tank setup is AWESOME! This was bought because my wife is in nursing school and I got tired of buying ink cartridges all the time (she prints a LOT of stuff for school use). One unexpected "perk" is that if you have paper in both trays & the main tray runs out itll start pulling from the rear tray to finish a print job (very nice touch). Only had it a little while & as a new owner will see how it's performing in a year but so far we love this printer!

This printer replaced an expensive Lexmark printer. Ink was costing a fortune and still powder leaked throughout printer. Service was outsourced and awful. This printer is so much easier and customer service with Canon is outstanding. Returning ink from previous printer covered full cost of this printer! Ink is so much cheaper than before. It is a little slower than old printer but that is no problem in comparison to savings on ink and ease of use. Highly recommend this printer for home or small business uses.

A little complicated when it comes to essential functions like printing, scanning and copy. Would be better if these functions were straight forward. Google assistant printing also not straight forward, too many steps for a function meant for convenience. Overall, print quality is good and clean. Looks and feels durable which is most important to me. After 1 month of use ink looks like it will last. Good value for the price.

My company uses the Epson version of these and they are amazing. So, I needed one for my home office and decided to give Canon a try and I really like it. The only thing that drives me nuts is it has an auto shutdown, so I have to turn it on every time I want to use it. I do with it had a light on the display but not that big of a deal. Other than that, it's an amazing printer. Highly recommend it.

Picked a bad time to get a new printer, but I am very very happy with my choice!! Managed to buy it, even on sale before it too was out of stock. Did plenty of research, tired of paying too much for toner ink (sorry Best Buy) and feel like I made the right choice. The paper tray hold up to 250 sheets, never have to worry about running out of paper. Agree with the comments about the back lighting on the display but can live with it. Quick and Easy to setup.

Replaced an older Canon printer primarily for the ink savings. Pleasantly surprised by the lack of noise, the quality of photo printing, and the convenience of the rear feed. Have only printed around 50 photos and 150 sheets of paper but happy so far. Only disappointment so far is the lack of a Bluetooth interface which I would prefer for mobile devices. You are required to use your network instead.

other than connecting to my computer it has been an a great investment. i followed the instructions exactly and it still took me 2 days to figure out how to connect it to my computer. (probably operator error!) regardless prints clear and quicker than the one i had before. Another thing is it doesn't automatically come on int he morning after not being used overnight. i have to press the power button on the first initial print of the day (and that's no big deal i would trade having to press 1 button any day for no more printer cartridges!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I was not too happy with this printer when I purchased it. There, either is no light behind the display, or it doesn't work so I can barely read the screen with a light on in the room. I cannot read it with no light on in the room.. The printer was ease to set up. It is easy to use and does not use a lot of ink. I would recommend it. I have been using it for 1 month

This printer had all the features I wanted but I was still apprehensive about purchasing it. A few of the reviews I read stated it was extremely difficult to set up and would not connect to WiFi easily. Once it was delivered, my misgivings were quickly alleviated. It took me almost as long to get it out of the box as it did to set up, and I am not a tech savvy person. While it’s a little pricey for a home printer, I am very pleased so far.

Had this printer for over a month of consistent use. The print quality is excellent and the ink is much cheaper. The display and interface is very dated but I do not have to use it much so that hasn’t been a big factor. Overall excellent printer

Clear instructions to set up. Easy software install. Printer works well. Works perfectly on mac. Windows 10 sometimes has glitches with the print spooler, but that's a Windows 10 issue. Same problem on the same computer happens with other printers. Print quality, user interface, scan quality very nice. Recommended.

I print a lot for my classroom. While I bought extra ink with the expectation I’d run through it quickly, I was very wrong. I still have well over half of the black ink and 3/4 of the colors after printing 300ish papers. If you are a heavy printer user, eco ink is for you and this printer is pretty darn awesome!
