Customers are saying

Customers regard the PIXMA MegaTank G7020's print quality and ease of use very favorably, with many praising its sharp prints and straightforward setup. The wireless functionality and compact size are also frequently cited as positive aspects. However, some users find the small, unlit display and control panel challenging to use, and a few note that the printer can be somewhat noisy during operation.

A little complicated when it comes to essential functions like printing, scanning and copy. Would be better if these functions were straight forward. Google assistant printing also not straight forward, too many steps for a function meant for convenience. Overall, print quality is good and clean. Looks and feels durable which is most important to me. After 1 month of use ink looks like it will last. Good value for the price.

    Another Great Canon Printer

It takes the place of a much larger Canon printer we used to need but don't any longer. It uses refillable ink that is much cheaper than the toner carts on our old printer. It was easy to setup for two computers. It does the same quality printing that our previous Canon printer at the right price.

Bought this G7020 printer to replace my Canon MX882 that stopped working. I love the MegaTank feature that eliminates using ink cartridges making printing more cost effective. Another plus it's smaller than the MX882 & it prints faster..

So far, I like this machine, I'd certainly recommend it. We've used it for a variety of printing and scanning projects. I only gave it 4 stars because the other reviews are correct, it is sorta loud, and even for those of us who are tech savvy, the setup isn't all that intuitive, the screen is small, not lit (I don't think, guess I should look into that), and if you are GenX, you'll need to take yourself back to your pager days to find the correct digits to enter your network's wi-fi password (which is funny/not funny given that it's 2021). You also need to lift up the entire panel in order to print and then close it in order to scan, which is an odd concept. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? In order for me to scan, I had to install the "IJ Scan utility", which *is* pretty intuitive and despite what everyone says this does indeed scan double sided docs. You (again) need to go back in time a bit and follow the instructions for "duplex scanning". Here's how we did it: Load your documents. Open the IJ Scan Utility >> [In the lower right corner of the pop up] select Settings >> From the left-hand sidebar, select Document Scan >> then move to the right-hand part of the window and under Scan Options >> Source Type >> select "Document ADF (Manual Duplex)" Then have patience. Get a cup of tea, let it scan, and then follow the instructions to scan the other side of whatever you are trying to scan. The resulting output/file will be correct.

The first printer we got, the ink wasn’t working so we exchanged for another one. The second printer printed and the color quality was good, not great. I was hoping for sharper, crisp color/details. I like the fact that it has Bluetooth and I can print from my phone. However, sometimes we can’t print from laptops and we have to delete the printer and reinstall before we can get it to prom again. That’s kind of a pain to have to do.

Price was great for all the whistles & bells plus ink tanks. Works fantastic, once I figure out how to use functions, but it is by trial and error as I am very old school and have not figured out how to get instructions on how to operate. I miss getting instruction manuals.

Awesome tank printer, great photo prints even if the color accuracy isn't 100%. It isn't the fastest thing out there but the quality it churns out is well worth the wait. My main gripe is the tiny, non-backlit, monochrome screen from the 90's/2000's copiers Canon used to make. Really?! But then again even my old HP with the full color touchscreen still lost out to me simply printing from my MacBook or iPhone, etc. Auto duplex scanning is a bit of misinformation, that feature DOES NOT work via the ADF. It ONLY works on the flatbed and obviously requires you to flip the page. Annoying but then again the ADF is much lower res than the flatbed so maybe that's a silver lining to the limitation. Canon needs to do some work on their support site.

Outstanding printer for the casual or small business user. Only drawback is that printer is somewhat slow. Print quality is very good, however. The menu screen could be a bit larger and perhaps could be less complicated. Machine does print, scan, fax and copy. It will sync with iPhone too. Very economical ink usage.

It was an easy set-up!! Only hang-up was the Power default is Automatic Off, which negates wireless printing. Once I changed the setting to On, have had no problems with it. Decent speed and clarity is very good!

My previous HP printer that we had for 6 years died and with the COVID-19 restrictions and online schooling/teleworking, a home printer was a must. Easy setup and much cheaper with the ink wells than cartridges.

This printer does a good job. The print is clear and the colors are accurate. I have been keeping it busy! I compared prices with other tank printers and this one was favorably priced. I was thrilled that I could purchase Geek Squad service and an extended warranty. So important for a solopreneur!

    Great Value MegaTank Printer

We switched from a ink cartridge printer to this MegaTank Printer. While the cost is a little more upfront, that value is with the savings on the ink. Being able to see how much ink is left in the printer and how long it lasts is great. The printer is fast and the print quality is good. If you print a lot and are tired of buying expensive ink cartridges this printer is a good alternative. The only complaint is the menu screen is small and not backlit, but how often do you really use that. Most of the time you are using the print options from your electronic device.

I have only started to use this printer and the quality of the print, and pictures are outstanding. I cannot wait to fully understand all that I can do with this printer. It is nice that it came with all the ink needed to get going. A friend recommended this printer and I'm glad I took his advice, so I am recommending also.
