Customers are saying

Customers regard the PIXMA MegaTank G7020's print quality and ease of use very favorably, with many praising its sharp prints and straightforward setup. The wireless functionality and compact size are also frequently cited as positive aspects. However, some users find the small, unlit display and control panel challenging to use, and a few note that the printer can be somewhat noisy during operation.

Very disappointed with this purchase. The screen is not back lit, very difficult to read messages on the small, dark screen. Constant errors with printing (again, dark small screen),no longer can print from my phone, prints are a bit light..not as bright as my last canon. Disappointed with my purchase

    I don’t like this printer

I have struggled with this printer for four years. The first page to print takes at least two minutes if it prints at all. The display I and me use are horrible; like a printer from 20 years ago. I am now replacing it because it has multiple error codes that the Canon website does now adequately explain. The scanning software is horrible. I have to do head cleaning frequently.

    Ridiculously Flawed LCD Display

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Before you buy, you must know that the LCD display is not backlit, which means you need to hold a flashlight on the display to read it. Unbelievable that Canon would overlook this obvious flaw. In addition, I had to spend the better part of a day trying to get the printer to print from my PC. It took two different tech support people (and about 3 hours) to figure it out. Very frustrating. If you're having trouble connecting to you wifi, don't bother with the instruction manual, which is useless on most topics. YouTube has a number of excellent videos that pickup where the manual leaves off.

    Great paperweight

Don't waste your money. Won't stay connected, won't draw paper from the correct chosen tray, constant resetting it to get it to connect. in the past year I have wasted money on Epson, Brother and now Cannon. if you waste your money on this thing, buy a service plan. I will admit, throwing this thing out the back door gave me great satisfaction. Just wish I would have gotten to use it more than a few times before I trashed it. If it had acted up before the 14 day return period it would have saved me some money.

Don't Buy - not worth the price.

When it prints, it works good. The print colors are light even when using a quality print. I have printed less than 1000 pages and had to do an ink flush twice. Ink Flush uses a massive amount of ink. I expect better from Canon.

Glad i bought the extended warranty. Difficult to set up. Nothing like the reliability of their professional series MFD's.

4x6 Photo Paper was NOT Included Inside The Box

It says there's 4X6 photo paper inside the box... I've just opened to box and there's no 4x6 photo paper.. photo printing is something I was very excited about testing.. Very disappointed they did not include it! How does that even happen I bought it new..... I've looked inside the printer etc... I guess it's just a false claim.. I'll go buy my own photo paper to try it out with ...

    Do not buy!

I’m so tired of crappy refillable tank printers. Had the Epson refillable printer first that stopped working properly after a few uses. So I bought this one giving refillable tanks another shot. But the quality is bad, the paper loading is constantly saying that there’s no paper. So we have to only use the rear tray. It’s cheaper for ink but the hassle is not worth it. It’s just another piece of junk. No more refillable ink printers for this family.

Shuts off and will not restart automatically

This is not my first Canon printer. Network print is TERRIBLE. The printer constantly shuts down and fails to restart when sending jobs. Takes several minutes to get printer to respond. None of my other Canon printers had this issue. Save your money and buy HP.

    Should Come with a Flashlight

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Dreadful! Should come with a flashlight as LCD screen is neither backlit nor readable in normal room light. Instructions that come with printer are crude and incomplete. Printer frequently fails to be recognized by my PC and both require re-booting. Printing of photo paper using rear feeder is difficult to use and clumsy to load. Awful printer compared to MX922.

    Total garbage

Total piece of garbage. Won't stay online. Impossible to get back online. Instruction manuals are full of garbled word soup. Impossible to get phone help. Do not buy this piece of crap. I'm likely to put a 2 month old printer in the garbage and buy from a different company.

    Built to fail!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

DO NOT BUY!!!!! I’ve only owned this printer for 1.75 years and it stopped printing black. All I get are pink streaks. I’ve run printer head cleaning several times. Deep clean cycle stops without completion. All of the ink tanks are good. Now I learn that if the deep clean cycle did complete and the ink absorbing pad fills up, that part is not replaceable and the printer is useless. The Canon website is useless as you have to pay to join for support. I’m now reading a lot of printer reviews searching for a better one that does not have a built in failure problem.
