Customers regard the PIXMA MegaTank G7020's print quality and ease of use very favorably, with many praising its sharp prints and straightforward setup. The wireless functionality and compact size are also frequently cited as positive aspects. However, some users find the small, unlit display and control panel challenging to use, and a few note that the printer can be somewhat noisy during operation.

The biggest issue is the led screen on the control panel that remains dark.
The set up was straight forward, Had some problems adding a second computer. Resolved.
Prints well.

Setup was easy and fast, upgrading to ink tanks is a must! I have plenty of computers but set this up with my smartphone and it was a breeze. Scan to pdf on my phone worked wonderful. Remember to open the control panel on the front of the machine (tilt it) to get started.

I like this printer as setup was pretty simple out of the box and the software download was simple. Setup went smoothly. I also like that this printer holds a lot of ink. I didn't give it 5 stars as when it prints, it cuts off 1/2 of the last line on the page but i presume it just needs some alignment or software tweak.I think that is a relatively easy fix, just haven't gotten to it yet. Scanning feature works great too.

This printer is awesome because expensive cartridges are not required for those of us who print a lot of documents. Also, it prints very clear and it is easy to maneuver.

This printer is easy to install. Print quality is great. Plug and go. Lightweight. Compact. Perfect for college, home, or small business. Ink tank is amazing and last forever. The paper feed or tray feature is great. This is a must for individuals who need printing, copying, faxing, scanning. This is a value in price, quality, and ability backed by performance.

We are returning this printer to the store today. The colors are not good. The black is really gray, No matter how much we tried to change the settings, it still was gray. That is the only bad thing about this printer. We would have kept it if the colors were better.
If true colors do not matter than this is a great printer. Very easy to set up. Easy to work. Over all very nice printer bad color prints. Wish the color was better.

I bought a small business and purchased 2 HP printers (6052/6055) and had an HP printer at my home. I was ordering ink at least once every three months and it was frustrating as I wasn't using the printer a whole lot. The "XL" cartridges were about $25 a pop and I was going through at least 6 of them per printer over the entire year. I bought the 7020 Canon one year ago and now use it as my primary printer. I still have HALF of the ink left in all reservoirs. Really incredible difference. I'm so pleased with this printer. Cons: Slow compared to the HP's. I also have to turn it on every day as I have not figured out how to keep it in standby mode. Pros: Ink consumption less than 1/10 of HP's that I was using. I also leave my envelopes in the envelope feed and they print very well. I will never by an HP again. Thanks Canon!

This printer has done everything I have looked for in a printer. It handles 110 lb card stock with ease, print photos that are on par with a photo lab, the colors and detail in the photos are extremely good. I was a professional photographer for many years and I am impressed. The ink tanks are easy to fill, the levels are displayed with the tanks visible through the windows on the front. I have printed many photos and printed many pages of text with and without photos and the quality is good. Like many others I find the display screen rather small and hard to read but other than that I am really pleased with this printer.

I wanted a good all around printer rather than great at one thing and mediocre at everything else. I like the low cost per page, I like the ample paper tray. I like the scanner- copier. I would probably like the fax feature if I had a landline. Is this printer going to compete with my Canon Pro 100 in photo reproduction? Obviously not, but that’s why I have a pro 100. Will this printer more than take care of every need of the average home or small office? Absolutely! And a low cost cost per page and without having to be constantly adding ink and paper!

Won't connect via WiFi

Trying to connect to my WiFi has been impossible.
The setup program would not recognize a password, so I had to do a manual connect. It worked, but only for four days. I could not get it to reconnect.
Spent over an hour on the phone with Canon tech Oswaldo, who, by the way, was excellent. The only method that would work was by WiFi Direct, which meant I couldn't connect my external devices, like phone or laptops, easily.
They sent me a new printer which arrived really quickly. I am now four days with this new one and the same issue has come up. I am, obviously, very frustrated.
Bestbuy won't take it back because the new printer's serial number won't match what they sold. I will now be at the mercy of Canon to get a refund.
Other than the connection failure, the printer is great quality. The only feature I miss is that it will not do automatic duplex from the document feeder.

The printer is stylish and has excellent prints, but the display I can't seem to get the bright enough. Also when it is not in use it turns off by itself and does not stay on standby. Maybe I haven't seen how to correct this but if Cannon could reach out to me with some answer I would appreciate it. Overall great product.

Setting printer up was typical of other printers I've had, except for the wireless portion. Instructions for wireless started out clearly but started getting vague. It took me several tries to get both my windows computers and also a 5 year old Mac Pro to connect to the wireless.
Other users complained of having to manually turn the printer on, but the online instruction manual made it very clear to automatically turn on and time off.
I had expected photos to be poor and had expected to need an inkjet that used cartridges, but have been pleased with the photos.
I would have given it 5 stars if the wireless had been easier to connect. It is great to print everything with color without having to think about the $90 set of cartridges.

I've had this printer for almost a year now so I think I can give it a fair review. First print quality and speed. It prints and you can read it and if speed isn't an issue you're good, but if you want to get done today this isn't the printer for you. The printer also has a scanning function or at least it is advertised as being able to scan. Scanning quality is poor and speed is even worse than the print function. Speaking of functions I keep a flashlight handy for when I need to try to change a setting. The display screen is so small and hard to read that it generally just isn't worth the effort to try to change. Paper tray is flimsy and thus hard to insert without getting it in a bind. On the plus side it does seem to be easy on ink but even there the system to load the ink wells seems a little like it could become a genuine mess with very little effort. I also print envelopes with this printer and due to the speed at which it prints the envelope I have found it is a good idea to set the postage date for the next day. I work from home and have for many years and I was in the corporate world before that and this is without a doubt the slowest printer I have ever encountered.

Replaced an older Canon printer primarily for the ink savings. Pleasantly surprised by the lack of noise, the quality of photo printing, and the convenience of the rear feed. Have only printed around 50 photos and 150 sheets of paper but happy so far. Only disappointment so far is the lack of a Bluetooth interface which I would prefer for mobile devices. You are required to use your network instead.

This is a great printer! We have been wanting to buy a printer with the ink tanks to reduce our cost of ink. This printer easily prints double sided documents. The print is so clear and looks professional. It was easy to set up and use.

Good printer, poor control and software.
The control from the little screen and 4 keypad is a JOKE. After I print photo from the rear tray it simply won’t switch back to cassette. I have to get Canon Technical Support to help ( They are good )… fortunately.

The print quality is great and speed is good. Holds a lot of ink. However, getting it to print is a problem. I've reinstalled the print driver multiple times. It keeps going off-line and what works one time does not work the second time. Further, the message screen is hard to read. It does print consistently from my phone though. No helpful 800 number to call either. I've had other Canon printers and never had this issue.

Bought one of these to mitigate the rising ink costs from HP. Easy setup and quality print work. Wireless connectivity through an app certainly helps add a big dose of convenience! Ink refills should be easy and cost a fraction from before.

Excellent printing, easy to set up, and ink is so much cheaper. Has worked like a dream since I set it up. My only regret is not purchasing it sooner.
