Customers find value in the PIXMA MG2520 All-In-One Printer's high-quality prints, ease of use, and affordable price. Many appreciate its compact size, making it suitable for various spaces. While some users noted the printer can be a bit loud during operation, and that a USB cable is not included, the positive feedback on print quality and ease of use outweighs these minor drawbacks. The scanning functionality is also a plus for many users.

Purchased in USA. My son is now using in India. Checked with Canon they confirmed cartridges for this printer are not available in India. Canon should be transparent in their disclosure. Best Buy need to be careful.

Great Canon quality for the price

Purchased this Canon printer for short run home use. The quality is excellent when you consider the low price point of the printer. It is small enough to sit on your desk without taking up to much space and is very quiet when operational. The ink cost will be on the higher end of the price spectrum when it's time to replace but that comes with the territory. Overall this is a high quality printer in line with the Canon brand name.

Good for Basic Home Printing

For the price and print quality, you can not go wrong with purchasing this printer for the basic home usage.
I bought two of these, the only downside is both of them makes a ticking sound when printing nothing too intolerable.

Ultra-basic all-in-one; you get what you pay for

If all you're looking for is a printer at a super-low price ($27 at Best Buy, Aug 2016) then look no further. The print quality is very good even in draft mode. I haven't used it long enough to gauge the ink usage, but, it seems to use a lot, so keep it in draft mode, if you can! The duplex (print on both sides) function is MANUAL, which means you must wait for the page(s) to print on one side (it prints all of the odd pages in one shot), then flip the page(s) over and put them back in the tray, then click a button (Canon's pop-up) on your computer to print the "back" pages (all the even pages in one shot). The scanner results, either automatic or manual, leave a lot to be desired. No matter what resolution I choose, it is fuzzy. Worse, it prints even when I don't select the scan-and-print option from my computer's Canon Quick Menu. I have no idea why it does that; the online help is useless, and their online forum has nothing about it. I'm still waiting for their forum response to my question that works. My recommendation: spend twice the money to get a higher quality all-in-one, Canon or otherwise. (FYI: The majority of reviews on the Canon MG2520 product webpage are fair-to-poor)

Grabbed this printer while it was slightly discounted. It's a basic printer but will get the job done without any hassle. Easy to set-up.

Only problem was the included driver disc works for PC's only.
You have to download a link for a Mac and that took some difficulty.
I had to call Canon rep directly, he was very nice, but it took me 20 mins to walk through it properly. Also, there is NO connective plug included to connect printer to computer. Luckily I kept the plug from my conked out comp which fit. Otherwise plug would have cost about the same amount as the printer itself!

This 3 in 1 printer works well. Still haven't figured out how to print on both sides, but otherwise it's worth the price.

Not Worth It

This printer is horrible. The print quality is fine. It prints relatively quickly for a printer this size and price. What makes it horrible is the ink cartridges. They are HORRIBLE to change! Pretty sure they designed the slot through which the ink is installed with a two year old's hand size in mind. I dread changing the ink on this stupid thing and fight with it every time. That is IF I can get the cartridges to line up. They go off to the side when the printer is turned on. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CHANGE THE CARTRIDGE IF IT AUTOMATICALLY GOES TO THE SIDE! And, to make matters worse, it won't print if the cartridge is low. Is it low or is it empty? Because those are NOT the same thing. I feel like I am wasting money on ink because it refuses to print even when the cartridge is not empty. Will never purchase another Cannon product again. I will be purchasing from a company that actually thinks about consumers and the fact we are not all the size of two year olds next time I purchase a printer.

So I purchased this printer having realistic expectation. I followed the directions to the tee and immediately after plugging it in it gave me error. It turns on makes a VERY loud sound that can be heard in the next room over the tv easily. Also this printer does not include the cord to connect it to the computer which isnt really a big deal but its a pain if you dont already know when you purchase it. The plastic is very thin and light (expected) the hinge on the scanner does not feel like you could use it more than two or three times. The set up instructions are very simple picture instructions. The programs are easy to find even if you dont have a disk drive. I just wanted something simple that would print documents for school nothing more just simple tasks and this printer is not good enough. I have successful printed 0 documents. I am highly unpleased with this printer.

No "Multiple Connectivity Options"
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I purchased this printer because Best Buy listed it as having "Multiple Connectivity Options" (and still does as of the time I am writing this review.) Actually, it does not have any memory card slot, and the USB port (which requires the square type B cable - not included) can only be connected to a PC. After trying to address this discrepancy with Best Buy customer service to no avail, I was able to confirm directly with Canon that there is absolutely no way this printer could ever be connected directly to any camera, or to a memory card or any external USB drive. So, the "multiple connectivity" is really just one option -- PC. I have a Canon Case ID number to verify this.
