It's been over a week and I'm still without. I guess eventually I'll have to breakdown, but not today.

Canon scored aces on this machine for the home user, I will buy another one as soon as they become available, just to have around when this one wears out. And they do last for years...

Didn't work for me.

It would say printer detected install may take a few minutes after a few (printer not detected check connection). After all the help tips over and over and a new cord I gave up and returned it. Maybe a software glitch, could be a fine printer.

It was a defective printer. I called Canon and they were great in replacing with a better model. Recommend registering the product with the manufacturer. It helps to proceed with the Warranty Exchange/Repair.
