I'm not going to say that this is a good printer for the money because you see that so much and what does it really mean? Less than $50 for an all-in-one inkjet printer could still be a lot of money for some more than others. That being said, this small footprint AIO does it all. And pretty well, too. Speed is average for the unit to queue and start printing, and the noise level is noticeable but for the most part not enough to be annoying. Perhaps if you were printing a 30 page job and the printer was beside you.... but how many times does that happen? Print results are good, both colour and greyscale. Clean crisp output even in normal 300dpi. Keep in mind that this is a light duty printer for general home/home office type use. It won't disappoint used in this manner. Setup was a breeze. I went WiFi from the get-go and the setup utility had no issues finding the device on the network and finishing the task. No need for alignment. It was excellent out of the box. Scan works well, quick and quiet. Same for the copy feature. And it looks good on the desktop or wherever you decide to place it. A ton of other software comes with the install CD. But I only wanted a printer so opted not to install any of it except for the manual, which helped out later on. The 3620 has an wake-up setting that allows it to sleep until a print request is received. I used this setting for a few weeks after install and it worked fine. One day all computers in the house couldn't see the printer. Tried several fixes, rebooted, reset the router, powered off and on several times. Nothing worked. Last gasp, check the manual. Sure enough, it had step by step troubleshooting that resolved the issue first try. Moral - install the manual during setup. So overall, a great little printer for the price or otherwise. And like all printers today the consumables cost more than the printer. Two XL black cartridges and one ream of paper cost more than the printer

    Canon Delivers on Connectivity But…

I've been using the Canon PIXMA MG3620 for a few weeks now, and overall, it's a solid choice for anyone in need of an all-in-one printer. The setup process was impressively straightforward; it took just a few minutes to get the printer connected to my Wi-Fi network, and the accompanying app made wireless printing from my smartphone a breeze. The print quality is great, especially for photos and color documents. I appreciate the compact design which fits nicely on my printer cabinet without taking up too much space. However, I do have a few concerns that hold me back from giving it a full five stars. One major issue is how easily paper can get stuck inside the printer. It can be quite frustrating, especially since determining the source of a paper jam is not as intuitive as it could be. I've found myself digging around in the printer trying to locate the jammed paper which i do not like to do for fear of damaging the unit. Additionally, I noticed that using the duplex printing feature seems to exacerbate this problem, leading to more frequent jams. It would be preferable if the printer didn’t auto-default to duplex printing; having to manually disable in the settings is a bit of a hassle. Overall, while the Canon PIXMA MG3620 excels in setup and connectivity, it falls short in handling paper jams and the duplex printing feature. If these issues were addressed, it would truly be an outstanding printer!

    Decent Home Printer

My old canon printer finally gave up after years of great service. Was in need of another printer but not one that can handle a ton of work, simply because it won't be seeing a ton of usage. Started browsing Bestbuy website and noticed it was on sale. Went to the store and was pleasantly surprised by the small compact size of the unit. The old printer I had was pretty large. It was easy to install on my desktop computer because it will be hardwired to the unit. Wi-fi connection was a different story. The unit does not have a screen on it for you to enter a password if your router has one. For those that aren't technically savy, it will be a bit difficult because of this. My suggestion is you aren't totally computer savy and can maintain a home network, to install on your phone the canon app. The app can program the printer and allow you to enter the associated password of the router to the printer. As for the features, they are serviceable. It doesn't allow for faxes if that is a deal breaker, you have been warned. One of the great features that I really love is the ability of the printer to print on both sides with having to manually reinsert the paper. You just select the option for the printer to print on both sides and it will print on one side and before it releases the paper, it will automatically feed it back into the machine and then print on the other side and finally release the paper. Great for college students who have teachers that allow for you to have a single sheet of paper of notes on tests and whatnot. The unit does not come with a USB cable, so, if you are replacing a previous canon printer, keep the USB, as you will need it.

Great occasional printer! I use da printer maybe once every other month and this one has been great. It starts up way quicker than my HP and doesnt waste tons of ink doing warm ups. It is small but quick and good for low volume printing. EZ setup with phone, and ez to update the firmware (been out for years so has updates)

It was easy to install, this is my first time actually using a wireless printer. The previous version of this printer never actually connected wirelessly so I was happy that this one was very fast. I had problem with too many devices linked to it at one point and it couldn’t print because there was another computer in front of it though nothing was in que on any other device. All in all it was solid for the price I paid!

I was very pleased with this printer, which I purchased when in another city. It is small and inexpensive. But the characters are very sharp, it prints rapidly and well. It is easy to install and use. It scans and copies. Only deficit is the ink cartridge ran out of ink quickly. I learned that there are different amounts of ink, so spending more on the cartridge solves that problem.

I bought this printer for my mother because I hoped it would be as easy to use as the MG3100 series printer that I have owned and enjoyed for years. So far, she has only printed and copied a couple documents, but I haven't heard any complaints yet :) What I can attest to is the ease of setup. I went to the website listed in the paper setup instructions that came with the printer in order to download and install the printer drivers on her laptop. The step-by-step on-screen instructions were very easy to follow, but I was especially pleased that I did not have to physically connect the printer to a computer or a router (this printer did not come with those cables in the box anyway) in order for it to connect to the wireless network. During the setup process, the printer automatically detected and connected to her secure wireless network. Usually this is the most challenging part of setting up a device, so that was a pleasant surprise. So far the printer is working great. I am only giving 4 (out of 5) stars because I cannot yet speak to the longevity of the ink or the durability of the product over time.

My HP printer would not recognize a new ink cartridge. I called support and they told me that the printer would only recognize ink cartridges purchased through their replacement program. This is not true as I have used ink cartridges purchased from other retailers. I decided to purchase a new printer. The Canon had the features that fit my needs and it was wireless. I only use a few times a month and it has performed well. The only issue that is consistent, is the bluetooth connection. When attempting to print from my phone, an error message pops up on my phone showing that the printer is not ready. After a few minutes and attempts, the printer will begin to print. This is just annoying.
