Love this printer. Especially because I can now print from my ipad and iphone as well. Was very easy to install, and no connectivity issues at all.

Bought this as a secondary printer that I could take on road. It is simple to use and better than my primary printer at a quarter of the price.

Daughter at college and needed a printer. Found this one on sale at a good price. Printer is fairly quiet. Even print and mobile print capability is tremendousdly helpful

I haven't used this printer for fancy stuff, but as an every day workhorse it's just fine. It's fast, as a laser printer should be, and prints lovely, crisp type. I've used it quite a bit and still haven't had to get more toner, which I had heard was one of the main negative points about laser printers, so I can't comment on that.

Works as advertised easy, internet connection, speed and quality acceptable.

Best printer I have had in 10 years. Prints quickly and wireless! I can be anywhere in the house and it prints. It's connected to the Wi-Fi so everyone in the household can print to it.

This is exactly what I needed for home. Doesn't take a lot of space but does everything you want in a home printer. I love being able to print from my phone. Before I would find something on my phone not anticipating wanting to print it out so I would have to switch over to the laptop, find where I was on my phone then print it. Now I can save time and a lot of aggravation!! Perfect!! Also, when given the option to fax for immediate attention or mail and wait n wonder who opened it and did it get to the correct person I have the option to fax without the waiting or wondering. Again, Perfect!!

This is a great printer. The setup was not too much of a challenge. The screen on the printer is small compared to my previous printer, which makes reading the information harder. But this doesn't affect its functionality. It works great, a bit loud as it prints, but very quick and efficient. I enjoy using this printer.

It's fast and easy to install. You don't have to rotate the paper to print duplicates. If you are thinking of a printer, you won't be disappointed with the MX492.

We upgraded to a wireless printer and the Canon - PIXMA MX492 is easy to use, prints with no problems, and does a great job scanning to documents to the computer.

It's hard to say anything bad about this printer. I am not a fan of ink jets because of the ink drying out if not used fast enough. Also the cost / time to install an inexpensive printer. Installation went fine, I think almost anyone could do it themselves. I used the WPS method to connect WiFi, just seemed to save some time. Print quality was good. The price was perfect.

I had an older version of this printer (different model number) and it died after a little over 3 years of average use at home. I don't use printers at home much to justify a top of the line printer so I was looking again for a low price printer. I had no complaints when I used the older model, so I looked at his one first and then compared it to others in the same general price range. All those models tended to have the same ratings as this one but were a little higher in price. This model ranked better than the others in print quality. The only thing I would have liked with a new printer was automatic front and back printing, but models with that feature were significantly higher in price, which I could not justify with as little as I need that feature. The only reason I did not give this printer a 5 star rating is that I have only used it about a half dozen times since I bought it about a month and a half ago. I have been very pleased with the print quality so far and it was not difficult to set up on my home wifi network since Canon refers you to several YouTube videos online. They were much more helpful than the CD and the manual that comes with the printer.
