Great printer for home business

I use this printer for my home business. I use it everyday with no problems. This is my third Cannon printer. I had the MX700, MX892 which I still have the MX892. The MX700 lasted 6 years before the head locked up and I used it everyday, all day. My son uses the 892 everyday for school and says he loves Cannon because there so easy to use and set up. This printer is basically the same, very easy to set up and it prints very fast with quality prints. I have it set up wireless. It uses 5 seperate inks so you only have to replace the ink thats out which saves alot of money. Compared to other printers it doesn't use much ink and you can use other ink brands. I haven't used the printer for photos yet but I don't need it for that. I just want a reliable printer thats fast and prints great text. My main concern is its so easy to use compared to other printers. If you haven't used Cannon printers yet this is a great start and you will be very happy with it.

Overall, it has been very good. I print from my phone as well as computer. It does a really good job. Quality photos as well. I can put my papers in the feed tray to make making copies for me. It prints a decent amount of copies on each set of ink cartridges.
My old Cannon printer took about 5 minutes to start up and print something. This one does a very good job. It's fast, quiet, and has a cool led light. Highly recommend. Lots of bells and whistles.

Purchased this printer after in person viewing of photo printing quality. Wanted an all around home office printer as well as quality photo printing to replace an aging HP Photosmart. Read reviews and expected to buy an HP but on reviewing and comparing the print quality chose the Canon. Best Buy staff was very helpful giving me real time in-person printing for comparison purposes. Item I had planned to purchase had an overall gray look for the white areas, perhaps as a result of the HP newly combined multicolor ink cartridges. This Canon printer has separate color ink cartridges and the photo printing pops like a professionally printed photo.
I had a few questions when installing and Canon tech service was fantastic with assistance to cover my issues (didn't want fax attached to phone line all the time). Also, assisted a friend installing this wireless printer onto her Vista driven laptop. After closing the vista laptop security the installation was a breeze.
First time print seems to take a long time, thereafter, speed is as expected.
I have had this printer for one month and so far, it is great!

After researching various printer/scanner/faxing machines for hours I came to the conclusion that this would be one of the better ones for around $100. It was easy to put together and get set up to the wireless network so that multiple computers can print/interact with it. It is easy to use. I find, however, that the actual job that it does at printing is just average. The lettering does have a slight bleeding appearance. For the few things that I have scanned, it appears that it is only average at scanning also. So, I am giving this product 3 stars for being a simple to use machine with average results.

This is a Canon printer/copier/scanner/with duplex and as Canon goes, does well for nice looking graphics. I went to BB to purchase a desktop computer and this was on sale for under $100; too good of a deal to pass up! This is a GREAT little workhorse and it's fun to watch the feeder automatically come out when it prints. Overall, a great printer and value.

The printer works great and the quality is very good. Pretty easy to setup and use. But at power on, it takes a long time, sometimes several minutes, before i can get the device to be ready. It hums and whirs while the screen display says "processing" or "preparing" or similar. Very frustrating at the start.

One problem is if you turn off it and turn on it again , it takes more than 3 minutes to start print. I don't know why, but this is the only problem I can mentioned. Overall this printer is very good. printing is fast and clear. wireless works perfect. price is reasonable, I want to give 4.5 for this printer.

I had problems with another brand all-in-one maintaining connection to WiFi and, upon recommendations from someone who had purchased the Canon Pixma MX922 for his home office, I purchased this all-in-one. It is very economical, compact, and easy to set up. However, we had the same problem with the Canon (connecting with the WiFi) as we did with the other all-in-one (which was barely a year old). We contacted Canon support and the technician checked through our setup and had us change WiFi settings on our computers, which solved the problem (which started after the WiFi modem was replaced, but neither our Internet tech nor the other all-in-one tech could find the problem). Not only did Canon's tech solve the issue with the Canon, it solve the issue with the other all-in-one.
We had no reason to keep the Canon and, although we hated debated about keeping it, we returned it.
When I am ready to purchase another all-in-one, I will definitely look first at the Canon. You are not going to find a better machine for the price.

Good Printer - Just Prepare to Replace in 2 years

Third Pixma printer in six years. They're cheap enough and do wonderful work and include good applications. These printers just don't seem to last very long before the fated printhead error renders the printer inoperative. I think the printer cost about $90 new, you'll spend far more than that on ink cartridge replacements in the first year.

I've had a Canon Pixma MX892 for several years and have been extremely pleased with it. It is beginning to make some "creaky" noices, so I'm exhausting my remaining ink and will connect the new MX922 then. I'm giving the new MX922 5 stars because I'm betting it has to be at least half as good as my previous Canons. I especially like the 5 separate ink cartridges---the Canons I've had use far less ink than other brands I've had.

This printer is a great combination of quality and value. It was relatively easy to set up on my home network, both wired and wireless, and the ink cartridges were easy to install. Also, the printer does not use as much ink as the HP printer it replaced. The only negative is that the paper tray has to be manually pulled out to see how much paper remains and to load paper.
