I needed a new printer, since my old one was refusing to print. I looked at online reviews, and Canon Pixma's seemed to be highly rated. Best Buy had a good price on them, plus they offered a great service plan for a decent price!

Love the way the paper door automatically opens. Forgetting to open discharge door is always a mess. This is great.

There is a serious problem with the print tray. Error messages...calling Canon constantly...returned to get another printer and the same problem is occuring.

Setting this printer up for wireless printing was time consuming since the enclosed and online instructions are useless and misleading and don't try calling Canon because that is just a sales pitch. Finally changed settings never mentioned in the instructions and it worked. Has been working fine since. Will never purchase another Canon product because when I called customer support they tried to tell me the problem was in my computer and that it would cost me $500 to $1000 to fix it.

Works well although some problems with lower cassette feeding and receiving faxes with an answering machine "in the loop

Buy it. You won't be sorry. I used to only buy Epson printers but I got this one because of the ability to print on DVD's. I am now a Canon convert.

I didn't have too much trouble setting it up to work with my new laptop. Most functions I've been able to fumble my way through without a thorough reading of the manual.

I found this printer difficult to set up and difficult to operate. I've had many HP printers that were much easier. The Canon representative convinced me to buy this one.

Manual document scanning with flatbed. Auto scanning with feeder including 2-sided documents. Document printing with 2-sided option. Good photo prints. Relatively fast scanning and printing. Good color. Compact machine.

I read the reviews and thought even if I got 75% of the features that were rated, I would still be getting a pretty good deal. However, this little printer exceeded all my expectations and even my wife was impressed

I use this for printing on edible paper. Seems to work good so far. Would Recommend for any one who is a small time baker and wants to use edible paper and ink.

We have 4 of this printers. But when we bought the 4th we had to return and exchange three times before we found one that worked past the install set up.

My daughter needed a printer and she had used mine. As an early Christmas gift, I suggested I buy her one. Which one did she want? "I want one just like yours"! So, that's what she got! She's a happy camper!

This printer is great overall. It replaced my other canon printer which was 5 years old. This print works great with iOS and Maverick OS. No complaints except for the printer is made from gloss and as a result, your finger print stay on there.

Good for all documents and photos. The printer requires 5 ink colors which are sold separately. Since the colors run out at different times this works well.

I had trouble getting the printer to work and called the HP service center. They were wonderful and very quickly they were able to install the printer. It has worked flawlessly since then. Hats off to my consultant

It does for me everything paper that I need from printing of pictures to colored photo copying , just can't find words to express myself about how good cannon copiers are. All I have to say is that all especially students must get it now.

Although a bulky item, it works just fine. Sometimes the Canon ink is not easy to find in the stores - so, buy a lot and keep in stock at home.

Great printer. Uses a lot of ink tho! Nice overall package. Also, a little big for standard desk.
