It was recommended that I get a Canon when my HP died, so I followed the advice I was given. Normally I do a lot of research before making a purchase of pretty much anything. However, my printer suddenly died and I needed a replacement right away. I wanted a printer with a fax so I chose this one. Oh my, what a mistake. This printer is slow as molasses. It does a lot of thinking before it actually prints. If you are a type A personality, this is definitely not for you. Since I am a patient person, I can deal with it, but I don't like it. However, not everyone could. My biggest disappointment is the how fast the ink is used up. After one week I switched to printing in gray scale because the ink levels were dropping so fast. I also print on the fast mode to also save ink. Those two tips did slow down the ink usage, but I can tell this printer is going to cost me way more for ink than my last HP. I don't use a printer that much, so I was shocked to see how fast the ink was draining down. I printed one photo and the quality was quite good. However, normal printing is not as good as my HP. The very weird feature to me is the way the door pops open when you click on print. When you decide to close the door, it may or may not work properly. When it is working properly, you just gently start pushing the door up and it closes. That worked for one week; then the "paper output support" would need help in getting back to its correct position, in order for the door to close. Now several weeks later, it has decided to work properly again. I don't hold out much hope the door will function well over time. It is made so cheaply!!! The big plus with this printer is that I was able to set it up easily, even the fax!! Never thought I could do it. However, my normal computer helper was unavailable so I decided to try it myself. Success!! Another positive feature for me is that if fits into my computer desk's printer drawer. My last printer did not fit, which was a disappointment. If this printer just didn't drain ink so fast, I would have rated it a little higher. It is just totally unacceptable, the way the ink goes down so fast!!

I had a Canon before, but this new one is better. Ink is easy to install.

We have been very pleased with this printer. Online support very good.

I like Canon products, but the connection to wireless is a little less than desired. I have had to reset several times now. Also, printing time is delayed. . . I had read about this, but did not imagine it took as long as it does.

Install to wireless was easy. Setup was smooth without problems.

This printer does it all, with quality, and a brand name you can trust!
