Canon printers are the best. This is no exception. You need some space for this printer.

It prints wonderful pictures and does large format as well. This is probably not the best 'all in one' kind of printer as I suspect ink would get very expensive if you were just printing graphics and charts, but as a dedicated photo printer, it is outstanding. It's an older design, which means that it's built very solidly...no cutting corners by using as little plastic as possible in manufacturing, and that's good. It's big...very big. But, if you're going to print 13x19 photos, you're going to require a certain size footprint to do so!

    Good Ink Printer

The Canon Pro 100 (ink printer) is a replacement for an Epson R3000 (pigment printer). I process D7100 images with PS & LR. I also use a color management program and I fine tune my lenses. It is a fine printer for the printers cost, resolution, operation of printer and quality of printed image. The cost of ink cartridges are about half that of a pigment printer. I'd say these images are sellable, given you shot a quality image, processed it correctly. I believe I recieved a good return on my investment. I am no longer being paid to shoot. Buy it, you will like it!

So if your going to buy a professional printer make sure you are willing to invest time and effort learning about printer profiles, and what your windows does, vs what the cannon printer driver does, vs what the application your are printing from does when printing, the best is to let the application handle it all and to turn off the driver or windows from overriding your settings otherwise youll waste alot of ink in the process. in the end beautiful mountable results!

I’ve had the opportunity to print with Pro 1 and pro 1000 printers and I was hesitant if this could satisfy my needs after being spoiled by the pro 1000, but I must say I am very impressed. The prints are clean, vibrant and hold good detail. Definitely worth it, especially if you can get it while there is a rebate going on. I paid $150 for mine. ($350-$200 cashback) and it’s worth every penny!

We had a Canon all-in-one printer which printed nice photos. After several years, it broke. We bought an HP all-in-one. Didn't like the photo prints from it. Bought this Canon. At first, we didn't think the photos were any different from the HP printer. But then I downloaded Print Studio Pro from Canon (free), and I choose "Plug-in printing" from the menu and "print with print studio pro" for much better results. This printer can use many sizes of paper, too. Cool beans.

I was looking for a new photographic printer, so I compared a lot of printers and decided between Epson and Canon, I owned a Canon 905 which was nice in its day, but not the quality you can get now. I went with the Pro-100 because the color and cost of ink was right up my alley. I have printed up some great pics and I am very happy with how they look. I did have some problems with it printing the way I wanted it to print so I called Canon and the tech help set it up with me while we were on the phone. Now I can set my colors and make it sharp the way I want it too and use different ICC profiles with my paper.

Replaced my Canon Pixma Pro 9500. I have Used for 10 Years. Photo Quality is Excellent. much faster than older models, Priced Much Higher! This is not Just a Photo Printer it is a professional Tool that allows prints up to 13X19. You will need quality Canon Photo Paper to get the best results. Many Reviews that I Looked at did not do it Justice. It is a Great Printer

Great printer. Quality of prints look very professional and vibrant. My only concern is that some of the tones look a little different on paper vs on the screen, but I’m not sure if that’s an issue with the printer or the program I’m using. Set up was fairly seamless and prints run quick enough. All-in-all, it’s saving me a lot of money to print my own photos and at good quality.

Bought this after looking for the best printer I could find and was hesitant looking at the cost. In the end, I can now save more 70% on every photo I print and the prints it makes are better than any quick developer (such as target, Walgreens, etc...). The only ones I've printed that are better than this printer are on the 20x30 scale which this womt do but are very rare I need printed. I am absolute thrilled to be able to do my prints in house now.

This printer is slower than its predecessor, a 1994 Canon i9900, but that’s it for complaints. I had to spend a little time working on print settings so that the printed output would match the screen appearance to my non-professional but fussy standards. The prints produced are beautiful.
