Getting it set up was a more involved project than I felt it should have been but after I jumped through all the hoops it works fine.

Worthless little printer!

Totally worthless piece of junk. It jams, seems to enjoy sending error messages, prints a full document one out of ten times. Then when you try to turn off to restart, the darn thing will not shut down. “Please wait momentarily” means “I’ll turn off when I’m ready to do so.” Like 30 minutes to turn off. Unplug, plug back in, try again. It’s a joke. A terrible printer. You get what you pay for!

If you're someone that is frequently on the go and experiences printing needs, this is the right product for you.
This Canon portable printer is minimal in both size and weight and is extremely easy to travel with.
Included in this package is:
-Printer
-Power cords
-Ink cartridge mount
-Color and B/W ink cartridges
-USB to C cord
-Instruction manuals
*You can also buy a portable power supply for your printer so you do not need to be connected to outlet power.
This printer is extremely easy to set up. You can either follow your manual or scan the QR code to go to the Canon setup website. Both have step by step instructions on setup.
After plugging in, your printer will take you through the easy setup to get your printer up and running. There is an option to go through the alignment process for max efficiency.
Your printer can connect to wifi. There are a few processes to set this up; the easy route being connecting your printer to a phone or computer. You can also set up wifi through the navigation screen on your printer.
Once connected you can print directly to your printer from a computer or phone via your wifi network.
This printer can handle a max of 8.5x11 standard paper.
The print speed is incredibly quick and also prints perfectly.
The best part of this product is the size and portability. It's roughly 12 inches long and about 3 inches wide. I'd say it's no more than two pounds. This printer would easily fit in a backpack, carry on suitcase, or reasonably sized bag.
Overall, I love this item for the minimal size and efficiency. It's a great product if you need to print on the go. The only downfall is I imagine the ink cartridges do not last long as they are fairly small. I have only printed about fifteen pages since my first use. Even if you do not need this for portability, it's great if you lack space in your home for a larger sized printer. I find myself only needing to print about 15-30 pages a month, so it's great for my needs.

This is great little printer for everyday use. I did not get a battery pack for it as I only need it for home, but was low on space so this did amazingly. But it is great to know I can add a battery if ever needed. Only thing so far is, the print quality is not the best of the best, but great for everyday use.

Canon Pixma TR150 is almost one-of-a-kind printer. If you are a business person who travels a lot, and you need to print on location, there are not too many choices you can choose from. This is one of them, and the other one is made by another manufacturer – both have been around for years. Each company upgrades its perspective printers and this one is the latest from Canon. By chance, the previous model's color was silver – this one has been upgraded to all-black. (The other brand, too, if I may say so.)
Setting up a printer is not for the faint of heart – but Canon makes it very easy. If you have a smartphone and a barcode reader (a program), even on the box of the printer you can watch videos on how to do this. The printer comes with a CD disc which pretty much only has a tiny program that leads you to its website (the barcode would've brought you here, as well.) All you need to do is choose the right model of the printer and if you cannot do that, perhaps someone else should be setting up this printer for you instead. It would download the driver for your operating system – but before that, the video will walk you through the actual set up of the printer – inserting the printheads, and the inks themselves. At this stage, you must pay absolute attention because while the printer appears to be very well made, the printhead mechanism looks fragile and can be easily broken if you do not follow the directions explicitly. First – the printheads go in – one for color – and one for black ink. Then you insert the ink cartridges. They are pretty much foolproof because one will not fit the other – but do not forget to remove the tape that protects the head and the plastic cover that protects the inks.
The printer will take a few minutes (and you follow the instructions on the little LCD screen) and you have the opportunity to print a test print (at this time, it will align the heads).
Then the next step is to actually connect the printer to your computer. I did mine wirelessly through the home's router – and it was beyond easy. I did not even have to set up (or choose which wireless signal the printer should connect to), it shows the strongest one which was pretty much three feet away from the printer and it was the correct choice.
You can of course connect the printer to your computer through the USB port. I tried that with one of the desktop, and it worked fine, as well.
The next step was to actually print something. Typical Windows printer's driver will allow you to choose "high quality" versus default quality. I printed a paragraph of text, and I drew a box and filled it with rainbow colors (I used CorelDRAW) – it looked totally acceptable to me and it printed quite fast. The paper shot out of the printer (there is no tray to catch it), but you can of course feet blank pages on the top and it will hold a handful.
This printer does not do duplex (printing on both sides) but you can do so manually. The driver will guide you to flip the paper over.
It really is a handsome printer and small enough that if I were a student, I would take this to the library along with my laptop. There is an optional USD99 battery (rechargeable) that will make the printer work without being plugged in, and it's supposed alas a few hundred pages. (I don't have one test it.) Its competitor (name not mentioned) comes with one, so you know.
But if you want to use this printer remotely (on the go) is probably best to connect it via the USB port. There is a way to connect to the computer directly without the router. I feel that if I really have to use this printer on the go, I don't see any problem bringing a USB cable. (It doesn't come with one, but nowadays it costs a little.)
I play with the printer quite a bit printing various things. Then I thought what would happen if I were to use generic ink. Brand-name cannot inks aren't cheap – none of them are. The replacement that comes with two Blacks, and one color is almost USD50. I tried generic inks, that cause only three dollars apiece. It installed without any problem and the printer recognized it. And I continue to do test prints, and it continued to work and a little LCD screen was able to tell me the level of the ink. I even printed some photos on color photo paper (by Canon), and it worked fine, too.
That could be the option of those who want to save some money – and who hasn't tried aftermarket inks on their printers – let's be honest here.
Pros: Well-made, handsome and small printer that you can take with you. Canon makes it very easy to get it going by providing excellent instructions on installing the hardware and the software.
Cons: Optional rechargeable battery is a hundred dollars and it doesn't come with it. Let's be realistic here – if they include that, it will increase the value of this printer so much. Lastly, just like any manufactures – the ink cartridges are not inexpensive. It is a pity that this printer is not their Megatank (which has continuous ink tanks) but I realize for printer that can be carried around, the ink can leak all over the place. Fortunately, the generic inks that I have tried worked without any problem.
Summary: Beyond useful for those that need to print on the go. Even without the optional battery, unless you have to print in your car, you could plug it in somewhere (i.e. in your hotel or at the library). For students at college, they charge you by the page and it is more convenient to print on the go. If you do print a lot, then invest in their Megatank – but if you are away from your room, this is close to perfect. I understand there are only two manufactures that make portable printers that can print like this – so you know, the other one's ink cartridges is connected to the printhead, so it costs even more to replace.

I love everything about this printer. Set up was super easy, printing is fast, it fits in my photography travel case. I will be using this for my on site photography jobs for printing contracts and receipts on the go. It is about a compact as it can be to be able to print a normal letter size paper. My only concern would be how much ink fits in the tiny cartridges but it isn’t my main printer so I’m not printing large quantities or photos on it so not a big deal. Although it is very capable of printing good looking borderless images right from my phone. Works great with Apple air print with good coloring as one might expect from expect from a canon product. Overall I am very happy to have this for my on the go jobs due to its compact size which could even fit in a laptop bag and its wireless borderless very good quality quick printing. I can highly recommend this printer.

This little package really delivers. When totally folded up, the printer is easily portable. But open it up and it literally is a full blown ink jet printer. The print quality was amazing, both regular documents and pictures. The ink cartridges themselves are tiny, unfortunately one cartridge for all colors, but probably a requirement in something this small. Setup was a total breeze using the Cannon Print app. I had the printer setup and online in less than 5 minutes, including installing the printhead (a one time setup). Unexpectedly, there is an LCD display on the printer with controls directly on the printer. I expected everything to be through an app. The printer can be charged via AC adapter or USB charger. I haven’t had it long enough to test battery life, but expect that to vary dramatically depending upon print demand. Fully supports Airprint directly from both my iPad and iPhone without having to use the app. Very happy so far with the printer.

Canon TR150 is great. If you’re like me looking for a printer that fits well in an apartment, this is a really great option.
Pros:
- The hardware is well built. Plastic shell feels durable enough for a printer. Includes an OLED screen on top which I think is a nice touch. I love the size. As a person who lives in an apartment, the ability to store this in a large drawer is super convenient.
- The printer was super easy to set up for use on my phone. All I had to do was download an app, connect directly to the printer using wifi and I was good to go.
- Supports AirPrint, which is super convenient for Apple users trying to print wirelessly.
- Printing worked as expected. Support for multiple print sizes and borderless printing is nice.
Cons:
- This is a portable printer but the battery is sold separately.
- If you’re looking for a copier/scanner, this product does neither of those things.

Quality Prints. Compact and Portable.

I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect with this printer. How small, really? Portable? Print quality? Easy to use? Would some things suffer to get into a small footprint? In a word, no. Performance has been great, and it is as compact and portable as I had hoped.
It comes measuring 12.7 X 7.3 X 2.6 inches and 4.5 pounds. You can definitely carry it in a tech bag if needed or in some other manner if you need to take it somewhere to print while out on the go. It comes with a power brick (an added battery runs $99), so you are sort of tethered, but I have some external USB batteries that powered it fine and I think is a great option for everyone. Really though, the rated prints per charge is so high, I doubt it will really ever be an issue.
Setup is a simple process, and I had no issues. Once up, printing is also easy, and you can just about print from any device (wired or wireless, most standards are covered) and any OS. Print quality, in both black and white and color is fantastic. Crisp, bright, and accurate. It is also quite quick. Not blazing laser printer speeds, but fast enough and better than I expected for this form factor. You can print documents and pictures of varying sizes, up to the standard 8.5 X 11, which is all I have done so far, but having the option is nice.
You need to keep in mind, this is not designed to be an at home workhorse printer. You will not be carrying a ton of ink, so if you hit it very, very hard, you will probably need to pick up replacement cartridges sooner than later. Something to keep in mind. That said, if you don’t print a lot at home and are looking for a compact solution it can work for you. Where it really shines though is for anyone looking for a portable printing solution. Print quality is great, is it easy to use, and it is extremely portable. If you are a student, small business owner on the go, or a road warrior, this would be a great pickup. The value is there, and I personally don’t know a better solution.
