Poorly made with flimsy materials.

Our last Canon printer was purchased in 2008 and only recently died. Although the PIXMA TR4520 scans and prints with no problems, the printer itself is of very poor quality. Where the first PIXMA (MX340) was made of sturdy materials, this one is flimsy and I fear will break before long. The paper tray is thin and difficult to remove to replenish paper and the tray that catches the printed copy is difficult to open all the way. You have to gently coax it out by moving it back and forth due to it being so flimsy and after printing, the paper just shoots right over the top of it and hits the floor.
Inserting the printer cartridges is no longer fast and simple either. You have to insert the cartridges at an angle and if you don't align them just right they will not click into place.
Overall, I am very disappointed by the lack of quality materials in this printer. I would purchase a Canon again in the future due to the quality of print, but would definitely not purchase this model.

I love this printer! It was easy to set up and to start using. I learned that the ink is available in XL with 245XL and 246XL so it holds more as I was running through the regular 243 and 244 ink cartridges very quickly. I learned in college to check the print quality to draft so I don't consume so much ink which also helps on saving ink. This printer comes with all the features you need including scan, copy, and print. I love the easy photo print app so I can print pictures at the convenience of home. This printer's paper tray is able to adjust to photo paper. Overall this is a great printer especially for the price!

Bought this as a second printer for upstairs. Relatively easy to setup. Print quality is good for the price point of the printer. Color cartridge is all 1. So when you run out of a color, you gotta replace the whole thing. So - overall it’s okay for a secondary printer. Would not recommend it as your primary printer, unless you only print 10 or fewer pages a week.

Had two other Canon printers prior to this one. actually We had issues with the ink and they just stopped working. So far I have been very pleased with this printer. It uses the same ink cartridges yet I don’t have any issues with the ink with this printer. The price was good and so far this printer works wonderfully. Fingers crossed that it won’t konk out like the other two. Like always the price was very reasonable at Best Buy. Thank you Best Buy for offering great products at great prices. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to buy another Canon printer considering the problems we had with the other two and customer service unfortunately was less than helpful. They sent us a small ink cartridge to replace the one that we had purchased which was twice the size. Did not fix the problem . They seem to be less than helpful with our situation hopefully in the future we will have better luck with customer service also. I do like the Canon brand and hope this one will last a lot longer.

Needed a wireless printer to be up and running fairly quick for my laptop since the wired printer was no longer accessible from a dead desktop. This Canon was just right, easy to setup, similar/same abilities as the previous Canon pretty much. Inexpensive for all that is does and more!

This is a good, reliable wireless printer for the price. The digital screen is fairly user-friendly and the app is easy to follow. However, if you're looking for a printer that's quiet, look elsewhere. For my home office, the noice isn't a problem. But in an office setting where others are within earshot, you may want to pay a few bucks more for a quieter machine. Haven't used it yet for photos, but the print quality for documents is good.

Good quality printing, scanning and copying. For the price it was a good deal. Ink not too painfully expensive.

The printer wasn't too hard to set up. I have it set up to my computer. Being not to computer literate, have not attempted to set it up via WiFi. Will do that when I feel more confident.
The printer works fines. I was surprised when I found it printed on the front and back of pages. I good money saver feature.
It also looks good. Very modern and sleek.

I had to return my first one due to a broken piece but the second one is better. It has been working well so far. Set up was easy. I do wish the scanner hinges didn't feel so wobbly- they scare me a bit in terms of quality- and I do also wish that the scanner scanned a little sharper but I may be spoiled by my work scanner. At the end of the day, it isn't an expensive printer and it gets the job done, which is exactly what I wanted!

First the pros, for the money it is a good printer, print, copy, fax, scan all for $99 is tough to beat.
The cons, the paper tray is somewhat fragile, sitting just below the document holder tray, it is a tight awkward fit, but it works. Also, including a booklet that describes the various features and a detailed description of the control button panel would be a nice touch.
Overall, for $99 it is a good buy.

I really like my new printer. It prints very clear and on both sides and that saves paper. It is very easy to use. Turn on and then you you just print. It came with ink and a extra one. It is small and doesn’t take up much space.

This is a great little computer for your home and if you have a small business. My older kids are able to connect to WiFi and print from their phones(really good if you don’t feel like getting up from your seat). Printing and faxing is very easy. I did have to buy a usb cable to connect to my main computer. This is a great buy.

I have used several multifunction pointers and I always purchase a Canon. The footprint is not too large, but it is a little larger than I wanted so I deducted a star. That will be my only negative comment.
Wireless Set up was easy
Print is clear and crisp, colors are vivid and natural
Price of ink is comparable
Simple to operate and connect to iOS and Windows.
Speed may be a factor for some.
Overall a great product at a great price

I highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a compact printer for a reasonable price. It has color and black & white ink and wireless printing. So far, no complaints. I purchased this printer in June 2021.

Pros: prints double-sided, relatively easy set up, good print quality, great price
Cons: small screen (in fairness, this is in the description - maybe next time I'll get a bigger screen!) - makes it hard to figure out what to do when there's an issue, uses up ink pretty quickly. I don't love the load tray. I haven't tried scanning yet but it should be pretty straightforward

Good Printer for College

This is a pretty good printer for college. It prints and copies well. A downside is that the paper cannot stay in the tray when the printer is closed. Also, the Value pack for the ink is very hard to come by, this pretty much forces your hand in buying the more expensive Combo pack. I would not recommend this printer if you are looking to print a lot of pages daily.

Only had this for about a month but working well so far. Amazing price and fast shipping, and lots of features for a good price. For those unaware this could be a bad thing, but since I don't print a ton, it's fine for me: the expense comes with replacing the ink for this. Luckily, it does already come with one set of ink already. The setup instructions were very clear and it's fairly easy to use whenever I need it. Doesn't work with university wifi usually, like any wifi printer, but will work with a generic printer to USB cord. Worked with my Macbook Pro on wifi and with a cord connection.

I needed a printer for home that was very simple to use. I wanted to use it with wireless printing from the iphone or ipad. Perfect machine! A few clicks to connect to the system, and it was all set up. I don’t need it for photos or anything that needs perfect definition. For the price and the ease of use, I am very happy with this purchase.
