Customers are impressed with the PIXMA TR7520's print quality and ease of use, frequently praising its compact size and convenient touchscreen. However, some users found the paper tray to be less sturdy and the initial setup somewhat challenging. Positive feedback centered around the printer's wireless capabilities and intuitive design. The overall experience appears to be largely positive, despite minor drawbacks reported by a few users.

Decent Printer

Overall, I think the printer was great; however, there were a couple of aspects I did not like.
*Setup
I found the setup to be the most complicated task, because of the various steps that didn’t seem to coincide with the instructions on the device. The written instructions seemed have been created either before or after the instructions displayed on the screen of the printer. I love the idea of a step by step guide, but the instructions didn’t link up with what was on the screen. I found myself pressing buttons to try and figure out how to get to the next step. I hit a lot of dead ends.
*Directions/Guide- I think the directions were in fact TOO wordy and hard to follow. The various images and how everything was displayed were choppy and not fluid.
The booklet idea also seems antiquated like something from 15 years ago. I’m used to a 1-5 step by step process with directions that open up to a large rectangular sheet of paper with simple wording and images going in order across the page.
This setup was quite easy. I simply downloaded the app and it was able to locate my Wi-Fi connection quickly along with my cellphone. Setting up my computer was also fairly simple.
Printer
• The printer is quite heavy and seems much weightier than ones I have used in the past.
• I like the touch screen features, but I felt like I had to really press hard for it to work; however, I do prefer that it’ not too sensitive or else that be annoying to deal with.
• The quality seems terrific and long-lasting. Cannon is a reputable brand, so I trust that it will perform well over time.
• The quality of the printer is top notch and the various documents I printed came out perfectly
Overall, I think the printer performed well but Cannon should make the following improvements:
1. Make modifications to the setup process by making the directions simpler to follow. Additionally, make sure the steps on the printer screen are aligned with the printer directions.
2. The tray for paper to print on seems flimsy – perhaps they could make the material more sturdy, along with the pullout tray to hold the paper as the quality doesn’t seem strong.

Good Enough

Printer was very easy to set up and start using right away. The printer prints good photos, but they do have some streaks through them, especially the part that gets printed first. The streaks get better towards the end of each photo. I would expect a little higher quality for a company that focuses on PHOTOS. But it prints quickly and decent quality. The touch screen is easy to use with pretty intuitive controls. Things that I don't like: It's a little annoying that the printer shuts off after a while. I wish it stayed on until I turned it off. When you try and extend the paper output try, it will get caught on the screen unless you lift that portion up. And when you load the paper, there is plastic piece you need to remove which isn't attached to the tray via a hinge so you have to physically remove it and then remember which way it goes and re-attach yourself every time.

Twice the price of my previous Pixma 920. Holds 1/5 of the paper
very flimsy, paper tray pull out will break quickly. Putting paper in, is an adventure. Who could invent such a system to insert paper. Not user friendly!

Great WiFi printer

This is a great all in one printer and my favorite feature is printing over WiFi. I liked my last hp al printer but most of the things I do are in my iPhone/laptop and anytime I had to print an email, a mailing slip or even coloring pages for my daughter I had to go to my home office and print from there, I can now print from anywhere in my house from any device!
The printer was easy to set up, didn’t take that long the instructions were simple to follow. The size was compact and smaller then my last hp which was a plus, sleeker looking.
I wish the loading tray for paper was larger but it’s not a big deal as I can just add extra pages once I see its running low; I never print large documents so it’s not an issue.
The printing quality is good, and decent speed. I have not tried to print on photos paper but the color prints on regular paper come out clear.
I have not used the fax feature on here as I don’t have a phone line so can’t comment on that.
Good all around printer with WiFi!

We started using this product about a week ago and so far, we enjoy it. Setup was very easy and took about 5-10 minutes to complete. The app (you download it on your phone) walks you through the setup step by step. We didn't have to download any drivers to our computers for this printer, so that was nice. The overall print quality is good and it prints quickly. There are two areas for the paper to be loaded- one in the front and one in the back. The one in the back is for photo paper. It pulls out easily and has an adjustable slide to accommodate various photo sizes. When not in use, it folds back into the printer and cannot be seen. The paper tray in the front is for regular 8.5x11 sheets. The front tray has a piece on it that has to be removed before loading paper. The piece will completely come off easily, so be careful when loading. Also, the printer will not print while the display is down so you have to remember to lift it or you will get an error message. We do not have a fax line so I can't speak to that feature. The printer will print from all of our devices (phones, ipads, computers, etc) which is a nice feature. The app is easy to use and seems to work efficiently. Overall, the printer has its' pros and cons, but we enjoy it and are definitely getting use from it!!

So far so good! I have to start by saying that I have a love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with printers. I've owned both the ink and the toner kind. The toner printer was my favorite before this one.
First, I'm not tech-ey by any means. The directions are fantastic! They are simply written, with as few words as possible, so it doesn't confuse the intimidated. There are also good images to compliment the instructions. I was able to set it up in minutes!
Pairing this printer to my phone was a little bit more challenging. THIS WAS NOT THE FAULT OF THE PRINTER, but my own guest wifi network. Note: if your network is configured so that devices on that network cannot talk to each other, you will not be able to pair the printer to a device! Once I figured this out, I switched to the main wifi network, and it worked exactly like the instructions said it would!
I am so happy that I can print from my phone now! I had nothing but problems with other printers that claimed that feature.
The print quality is great! The colors seem to be put on the paper evenly and correctly. It's also very fast. Even with a full size picture, the paper pops out in less than 30 seconds.
I was at first hesitant to bring another ink cartridge printer into the house because purchasing new ink cartridges was a huge pain and expensive. I have since discovered that there are place that will refill these cartridges for much less than it costs to buy new ones!
The scanner and copier works as it should, and I doubt I'll ever need to send a fax, but to have an all in one machine like this is amazing! Next Christmas, I will be trying out the envelope print feature to see how that works. I've never been one to want to print pictures at my house because printers have never been up to the task, but this one does pictures so well on regular paper, I think I might just have to purchase some photo paper and see what we get!

I found the Canon TR7520 a little more difficult to set up than other printers that I've installed, but I can say that I've never had a printer that has synced with my wireless and my phone before - so cool! I'd say I spent about 30 minutes getting it connected, but once I got it connected I was really pleased with the product. I like the matte black color and the printer itself appears really well-built with the exception of a few plastic pieces that are a little flimsy that have to be moved in or out depending on which function you are using, which were probably designed this way to save space. I LOVE the fact that I can print pictures right off my phone and the print quality is so good that my husband thought the photos I printed came straight from a lab. It took me a few attempts at printing am image to figure out that there are 2 paper feeder trays: the standard sized paper feeder and then a special paper tray for envelopes and image paper that pops out from the back of the printer. Another awesome feature was the ability to send scanned documents, images, etc directly to my computer or email. I received the printer in exchange for my review and evaluating it so far I'd say it's a great all in one printer that checks all the boxes for an at home printer. I'm very pleased!

I like the size of this printer. It is easy to tuck away in an inauspicious place in our house due to its size. Our old printer was not wireless, and I had to hook it up to my computer each time I wanted to print something. I love the wireless feature of this printer! It was very easy to sync with our devices. I've read online the ink is expensive, but this isn't any different than the printer we had previously. I primarily use it to print forms for my kids for school, coloring pages, address labels, etc. I have printed invitation inserts on it as well and was happy with the quality!

I found the tr7520 to be ok. I have went through a lot of printers in the last five years trying to find an all in one that works well. The 7520 does have some great feature. I like the way the menu panel pops open so you can adjust it for easier reading. Very smooth touch controls as well. I downloaded the android app and the sync process was extremely easy allowing me to print from my cell and straight from facebook within 2 minutes. This is the first printer that I can double sided print with and that is a major plus. Overall a good quality device The one negative I have found with most printers including this one was setting up wifi to it. The instruction could have been a little more clear.

I just used my Canon Pixma TR7520 for the first time. The installation process was quick and seamless. The printer is a little smaller than my HP Officejet, which I like. Love the design and it's sleek look.
It's simple to use, prints fast and the print quality is good (especially color prints). Wireless printing is a huge bonus as I tend to print a lot from my phone. Overall, it meets my home office needs and I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a simple and good quality printer/scanner.

The printer was a little confusing to setup. The owner manual was very wordy, which made the setup process longer. Between looking at the pictures, making sure I had all the pieces and removing all the red tape- it took about an hour.
I think it prints well and clear, and it was a plus that it came with all of the different colors of ink- ready to install!!! While it was a plus to have the ink included, I think that I was very hesitant to put the ink in the cartridge. I was afraid that I was going to break it. I like the app feature to put on the phone; it enables me to print quickly any document from my phone.
My previous printer was easier to setup and also seemed sturdier. This printer on the other hand, I feel as though I need to be gentle with it because the pieces seem so fragile. I am afraid something will break off. I handle it with care and DO NOT force anything.
If Cannon has an opportunity to do an upgrade, I think they should make it user ready right out of the box. It should be more of a 1-2-3 setup.

The setup was easy as could be. The printer was out of the box and I was printing my first pages within an hour. The app installation on my mobile and tablet devices also went smoothly. I like the idea of having a larger reservoir for black ink in addition to the other colors. With previous printers, the black ink was always running out and being replaced before others. The touchscreen feature is very cool, and the first printer I've owned in my home office that had such an option.

This printer is nice. The setup was pretty easy and straightforward. The print quality looks good so far. I like certain features it has like the touchscreen on the front. The wireless connection is great. The canon printers have never let me down. And this all-in-one is a great option to cover all your printing needs.

We received our printer and found it extremely easy to set up, the directions were very clear. It was a total of about 30 minutes from the time we opened the box until our first print job. Most of our home printer usage is for our kids school work, we have not used all of the features.
The color print jobs are clear and we like how the ink cartridge levels are displayed on the front console. We also like how quickly things print. The only negative thing we have discovered so far is the paper tray does not hold very much paper and doesn't seem to go in and out smoothly. For our use it's not a big deal. For larger print jobs it might be a pain. Other than that, we would buy this printer for home use.

Once set up this printer it is easy to use. This multi functional printer is more compact than previous printers I have owned with similar features.
I love that the control panel flips up so you can see it with out being in the front of it.
My printer is on a low shelf so it is very helpful to me.
I only downside to this printer in my opinion and differs from previous printers I have owned is that is automatically turns off, so each time you go to print you have to physically go to the printer and turn it on. I print from different sites in my home so this is can be inconvenient. This is the only reason it does not get 5 stars.
Other than that I love it!

The printer was assembled in the box, and it was very easy to put in the ink cartridges to begin using. The documents I’ve printed are very crisp and clear. I love that I can connect it to my phone and print pictures. I haven’t owned a wireless printer before and love how easy it is to print from another room. It took me several minutes to figure out how to connect my Mac computer to the printer but after some research I got it connected. I highly recommend this printer!

I have never owned such a fancy printer before. The set up with the printer was pretty straightforward. The printer itself walked you through the set up process. If you had questions there was a manual to walk you through it. One snag in the set up process was with the paper trays. Apparently there are two of them. One underneath the printer and one in the rear. During set up it would not instruct me on which paper tray it would be using. The rear paper tray is very difficult to set up. It took a few tries before the paper would feed through it. All in all it prints really well and easily connected to my laptop and cell phone. I love the touch screen control panel. It’s pretty simple and easy to use.

The printer came in a reasonable sized box, that was easy to remove the contents from. The set-up of the printer took me 5 minutes and was pretty easy. It took me longer to figure out how to set up the app on my phone and get the printer onto my computer (i think this was a ME issue and not the directions issues!).This printer has been a lifesaver for someone who works from home as well as my office. I no longer need to wait to send a signed document or print something out. Since purchasing, i have been using the printer each day i have worked at home.
