Setup was a breeze. It works on all of our devices in the home. The only advice I have is to run the full installation exe file on each device, don't just rely on Windows to get it right. Also, there's an option within the software to wake the printer when a job is sent, this is not set by default so you need to go in and check that box. But overall, we couldn't be happier with this printer.

This printer works well for home use. Prints reasonably fast. Prints color photos very well. I use with Mac and iPhone and the set up was a breeze. AirPrint works and the printer is detected automatically without any software installation. One thing to note is the tray with the screen needs to be open for printing.

I like the Canon Pixma TR8520 all in one. It was easy to set up and does a good job printing. The only negative was trying to scan 3 two sided pages to an e-mail. There were no instruction, at least that I could find, (but I had only had the printer for a couple of days) and it wound up sending a separate e-mail for each of the six pages when I scanned from the platen. After playing around with the rapid feeder I found that it would attach multiple pages to one e-mail, however when doing 3 two sided pages, you have to be very very quick to get the printed page out and turn it over and get it in the feeder before it stops, but then the pages are not in sequence when attached. I found it was just easier to copy the back side of each page before I started and put them all in the feeder at once. Other than that scanning was quick and simple.

I got this as a holiday gift for my father-in-law to replace an older Canon PIXMA model. I researched numerous models but, for the money, this seems to be a comparatively good value. Compact, prints quickly, and the ADF is a handy feature. Set up was easy, and the touch screen prompts for the various functions are helpful.

I have gone through a number of Canon PIXMA printers. When they work, the print quality is great. However, when they glitch or act up, which is about 45%, they are a pain in the butt, but they are so cheap that it's more practical to buy another than switch to other printers (since you probably have extra ink cartridges left). I have tried every brand, and some are super loud, or shake every time they print, or just simply print terribly. This is a newer version/model of a printer I had a few years ago. I like that it's very compact. I utilize the two-sided printing and the scanning bed is small, but mighty. I don't really like how the panel with the screen on it can be moved up and down...it seems like it might break at some point. My biggest complaint is that it shuts off by itself, which kind of negates the point of having the air print options. It prints easily from my iphone. It also has a pretty shallow paper tray comparatively to the previous model.

I'm in the early stage of using this printer, but so far I'm pleased. The set up instructions were clear, and I was up and running in a short time. The FAX feature worked the first time I tried it, and the color quality of the photos I printed is good. Time will tell, but I have no regrets at this point.

Replaced my previous Canon printer with this one. Good choice. Touch screen is easy to use. Hooked up to my WiFi in a snap. Printing is quick and quality is excellent. Also very quiet compared to my last printer. Have already printed some photos, and they came out excellent. Second feed tray in back for photo paper is great so that you don't have to pull out letter paper from main tray and load photo paper and then pull out photo paper and reload letter.

I wasn't expecting much from this printer, but it has exceeded my expectations. I have so far printed nearly 600 pages and have used hardly any ink. This is the smallest, fastest, and nicest printer I have ever owned considering its small form factor. If size doesn't concern you then there are cheaper and better printers out there, but if you want small and powerful look no further.

When my Canon MP 830 died suddenly, I was in a panic to get a replacement as soon as possible. The TR8520 fit the requirements I needed: print, copy, scan, fax. I also wanted individual color replacement cartridges instead of one multi-color cartridge. Found it online at Best Buy and picked it up an hour after I ordered it. Installation was fairly easy if you read the directions and follow them closely. The paper tray doesn’t hold as much as my previous printer and the output tray seems a little flimsy, but, for the price, it’s acceptable. The only complaint I do have is that it is not compatible with my other printer’s software like MP Navigator. I really liked the way that program was able to place scanned documents, photos, etc into individual files instead of dumping them into one library. Would like to see some kind of software/firmware upgrade that would allow this.

We were debating on getting this printer as a replacement for our Epson WF-2630. I am glad we went with Canon. It has been very reliable. It was very easy to set up wirelessly and be able to print from my smartphone. Our Epson kept losing signal and getting paper jams constantly. With this Canon, we hadn't experienced this once.

Prints well from both my computer (iMac) and my iPad wireless. Much smoother and quieter than the HP it replaced. Wish there was a usb solution for Mac. Best to keep paper in both the tray and the rear feed as it draws from different sources for different projects.

We needed a new printer and we wanted something that we could print from our mobile devices. This printer works great from our phones. I also like the compact size since we are limited on space in our home office area. Print quality is crisp and good graphics as well.

I made the switch from HP to Canon and while it took some getting used to, I like this printer. We use it connected via USB to a desktop and wirelessly with two laptops and three smartphones (two android & one iPhone). Once everything was set up (fairly easy) it works seamlessly.
