Compact unit that does it all

I consulted Consumer Reports, but I am guessing that printer models change frequently and when I put the model number in from the CR Report this particular model popped up. It works fine although I wish it were more sturdily built.

Good basic printer

The only problem I have had and have not yet pursued with Cannon is that if I turn the printer off, when I turn it on to print I have to reboot my computer. Not sure if software or setup but annoying.
