I returned this printer because - as far as I could tell - there was NO USB port. There wasn't one in the store, and the salesperson seemed very unfamiliar with the products. After I returned it, I went back to the printers and was assisted by Matthew, who helped me find another Canon printer that said it had USB. When I couldn't find it, he checked the info and found it - a USB port that neither of us would have ever found, since it was a small square rather than a vertical. So with a special USB cord in tow, I have a new printer. Would have been happier with the 8620 which uses the same inks as my old printer. Probably would have given it a 5 - but since a rating is required, I gave 3 because I never even plugged it in. Find a knowledgeable salesperson!!!

Best printer that I ever owned. Previously owned a canon printer and was impressed enough that when I needed a new printer I bought the same type of printer again

Love the 4.3-inch display screen for my parents. The numbers and letters are big enough for them to see so they won’t get frustrated. I also love the compact and small size. It’s good for a small office space or if you need a wireless printer that doesn’t take up a whole lot of space this would be a good option. However, it’s not compatible with my parents HP laptop and my Windows tablet. It kept saying that my operating system (OS) is not compatible with my Windows tablet and my parents HP laptop had to switch out of S mode. Both were Windows 11. This would have been a good pick if only it had been compatible.

This was a little beyond my installations skills and I had to have some help. It's bigger than the previous Canon printer but it's an all-in-one instead of just a printer. There's a little learning curve but it printed very well, which is the only thing I've used so far. I hope it works as well for the other functions, and lasts as long as my previous Canon printer.

Good value. I’m used to a big HP printer that is a workhorse. I purchased this printer because I wanted the three (flat screen, top feeder and rear feeder) options. The other option I wanted was the rear feeder can be used for envelopes so you don’t have to change a paper tray. Also, was told the picture printing is very good (have not tried yet). The only thing I don’t like is the that the touch screen that has to be flipped up when in use makes filling the paper tray uncomfortable. I will remedy this by raising the whole unit by 4-6 inches on a “attractive” box!

I needed a new printer specifically for print vacation photos, but I also wanted to have a backup for my everyday printer. After looking at lots of printers, I decided that this was the perfect printer for my situation. So far, it has worked out quite well, printing both photos and written documents.

Bought in ‘22 and have used it for less than 600 pages of printing over that time. We just needed something for the occasional printout or photo. Has now become inoperable due to ongoing paper jams. After clearing, cleaning, and troubleshooting, it still jams up. Main cause looks to be a piece of foam towards the front after the color cartridges that has come loose and will not stay nor will it clear the paper. Disappointing considering how little we used it. It also drained through color cartridges when printing photos or color pictures and won’t let you proceed without all cartridges having the minimum level of ink, even if black and white text. This caused us to purchase a couple of packs of ink to keep on hand which now we won’t be able to use nor return. This was our first Cannon printer coming from HP and won’t be purchasing from this brand again. Our last HP lasted over 10 years.
