Had to ditch my beloved Epson XP960 after it just kept blocking up the print head - finally internally rupturing itself somehow. The replacement PIXMA TS9520 is terrific overall, almost as good for photo prints - it will print 11"X17" prints well. Scanning is Canon's usual great quality and, though I really did not need the paper feeder to scan, its actually my go-to machine for this now, also handy to have auto 2-sided output. New Canon Photo printers now seem to have only 4 color cartridges and 1 B&W text cartridge, this is much cheaper to run than my old Pixma with 8 cartridges to feed, I'm only using Canon dyes/ink, third party inks don't seem to archive well.

This was a recent purchase. I looked at plenty of reviews of printers and decided on the Canon Pixma TS9520. The only reason this is not getting 5 stars is because it is required to lift the front panel to perform a print. Yes you can leave it up all the time, but I think this was poorly designed. It's nice and sleek when closed up and it could not have been that difficult to design this to automatically flip up when printing. So if I'm in another room and want to print from my phone, it will not print until I'm at the printer and lift the front panel.

I like the idea of 5 ink cartridges , where if you only use one color you can change that one , not like HP where you must replace a tri color cartridge, and waste the other 2 colors.

Finally set this up. The machine is a decent size. Unpacking, untaping, and inserting ink cartridges was a breeze. Set-up wasn't as smooth as with my Pro-200. For some reason the website in downloading drivers, etc got stuck in a loop. So I suppose that is a website issue. However, I was able to call Canon and a representative helped me to set it up. He was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. He also told me an easy way to get it on my older computer. One thing to note is the difference between ink replacement plan and print per page plan. This printer is only for the ink replacement plan. The Print per page plan doesn't support this printer. But if you don't want that plan, it is not a deal breaker. Also note that if you have more than one device to print from, you have to install the program on each device. (Maybe this is a new and standard thing now, but it wasn't with my old printer. So I was a bit surprised.) I will write more later when I have used it more. I reserve the right to edit this review.

As far as a printer goes it does the job very well. Pictures look way better than with my hp printer. The one flaw is the cd printing. I couldn't find a single disc design program for mac that this works with. You have to use the Canon program and it is VERY limited as to what you can do. Other than that this is a great printer. If you need to print a cd get an epson.

The printer has worked well for me so far. I purchased it because of past good experiences with Canon products. I received it promptly and the device is exactly as advertised. Unpacking and installation on my Mac computer was straightforward. So far I have printed photos, documents, and used the copy function. All worked fine the first time I clicked print. So far I am satisfied with my purchase.

I am quite satisfied with the printer. I've had a Canon Pixma before that lasted me many years, and after checking out other makes I decided on a Pixma again--it had everything I wanted, a small footprint, and a reasonable price. It works well, good print quality and satisfactory color printing.

Setup instructions were a bit disjointed - seemed like I had to follow more than one line/source of information to get everything I needed. A bit frustrating, but definitely doable for a non-techie. Once set up, everything worked fine. Have not tried photographs and am not planning on using it for that. Every other function (printing, copying and scanning) is working properly and producing very good results.

Our printer was easy to setup, connect to our laptop and has worked very well.
One added benefit is it uses the same ink cartridges as our old Cannon printer!

This is a pretty decent printer for the money. I agree with other reviewers that the paper tray is a bit small, though it's still bigger than most HP models. I have it hooked up with the ethernet port and had no trouble getting it connected. It does a good job of remote scanning/printing, but you do have to have the front panel open to print. It has been a good experience so far.

It's a very good and fast printer. For a printer in this price range, I'm very satisfied not only with it's quality, but also it's diversity to print from either it's tray or it's rear feeder. It's capability to print on discs makes it a go to printer for me.
