This is our 4th Canon printer. Two we have killed, this is a replacement. Have never looked back since switching from HP. Prints clearly and quickly. Pictures are spot on.

I've owned many epson and brother inkjets over the years. The cost of supplies for this unit is some of the lowest of the three, and the speed and quality of printouts (especially photographs) is excellent. I actually replaced a color laser printer with this unit.

My new printer was a replacement for another Canon product. It is more compact and the quality of the print is much better than my previous Canon product.

I got the Canon Pixma TS-9520 to replace and older Pixma model that gave up the ghost after 11 years of great service. The setup via disc was fast and glitch free. The printer is plenty fast enough for me in B/W or Color mode and the photo prints are outstanding! I'm very pleased with this printer thus far and am expecting many years of service much like my previous Canon product.

The printer makes good prints, but is not nearly as convenient to use as the old Canon Pixma it was replacing. I also wish the cassette held more paper.

Why can't the industry design a good printer?

Goes into idle mode and requires that you physically press the power button to wake it up. Meaning, if you are somewhere in your home printing wirelessly, you will get an error message telling you the printer is unavailable. What is the point of wireless printing if I have to push a button on the printer first? The front panel must be flipped open, otherwise it will not print. What purpose does this design feature serve? Frequent paper jams, and clearing them is not easy. The paper 'cassette' is low capacity and must be pulled completely out to refill. It is oddly located at the bottom of the printer, so depending on where you keep your printer you may have to lift it up with one hand then use the other to pull out the cassette. When I do large scans using the document feeder, about 50% of the time after scanning is complete I get the simple message 'There was a problem with the scan', and I have to rerun it.

This is a replacement for a previous Canon and the brand does not disappoint. Now Airprint enabled, so prints from iPad and also Android phone. Prints quickly and quietly. Good item and the Best Buy price was cheaper than a “discount” provider quoted me. Good Job Best Buy!

In general all printers have gotten smaller, much less expensive and with plenty of features over the years. I currently use two - this one and an HP. The HP has the large capacity ink tanks which is super convenient. This one still uses a conventional size ink cartridges but I think produces better color than the HP. I still would not use it as a dedicated color photo printer, but it does a decent job.

The power cord falls out of the back constantly. I contacted Canon and the guy said people have reported that but it should stay in place. I've taped the power cord to the printed to attempt to keep it in place. If I bump the computer table or printer stand, it disconnects. I have had to uninstall and reinstall numerous times because the printer would not recognize my router. I bought this printer in 2023 so I've only had it a year and a half. I'm retired so I don't print often. I'm going to buy another printer and won't buy another Canon product. I thought they would at least offer to repair or replace it.

I was considering a cartridge-free printer but feel that the technology has yet to be perfected. With this printer you will only need to replace each color cartridge separately as needed rather than all the colors at once. I found the technicians at Canon to be very helpful in setting this up.

So far this printer is impressive. It was easy to set up, and the print is extremely crisp. I like that is goes into "sleep" mode and is awakened by calling for a print. Should save ink from drying out.. very pleased so far.
