If you want a small point and shoot camera which provides great photos, you've got it in this tiny Canon. I had a previous Elph series Canon which I miss because it had slightly longer zoom, but this one is so portable that you will love taking it absolutely everywhere with you, so you never miss a shot. My photos have been very good quality, I'm very pleased. If you know how to use the Canon menu system this camera will feel like home, if you don't, you will easily learn. Learning when to use auto vs. the non-auto shooting mode is something to play around with, I find that the auto modes often don't use flash when I want it, but is is easy to switch modes and in well lit situations auto is great. I love the color accent feature, as well. My only minor complaints are the following: The poor wrist strap design is a mystery to me... there is no slider that makes it fit your wrist size, just a loop. I took the strap off my old one and used it on this camera. I believe the slowish shot to shot delay is not very significant compared to other similar point and shoots, but be aware that with the flash it takes slightly longer for the camera to be ready for the next picture. By all means this detail would not prevent me from getting this camera. Lastly, because it is so small, it has an average zoom for its size. Great tiny camera ! If you are looking for a point and shoot you will love it !

I had and old elph and it was only 4 mega pixels. At that time it had some of the best reviews. Over the years the camera lived up to its hype. I know of two people that bought a sony when I bought my first elph. All they did was replace the batteries and complain about how bulky it was. I got the new 12.1 mega pixels elph for Christmas this year. Wow is a proper word to describe it. It is more compact, has the same great battery life, and a great picture quality. There is not much more a person could ask for.

Having owned nothing but Canon cameras, I used a Casio and Olympus for the past year or so before getting this camera. It reminded me that when it comes to great photos, Canons are the best, period.

This is my second one. I lost the first one... I liked it so much, I got another. The pictures are clear and the zoom is excellent.
