I am a canon kind of user, there was a chance my equipment was going to get wet on my trip and it was important not to loose my photos.

Use the camera to document damages and needed improvements around real estate properties. The pictures are clear and the camera is easy to use.

I found my new camera to be very portable and I do like the color.

I just used this for a 3 way vacation where water was a big part of things! Lots of boating and water oriented activities. The camera held up great and the pictures came out great. The battery life is outstanding!

Keep it charged and you will love it. An extra battery would be recommended if you travel.

Only used it on three vacations and one time underwater. It was the vacation this year that I took it 20ft underwater (rates to 82feet) and it stopped working. Not worth the money.

I bought this camera to take to Hawaii on my honeymoon to take picture of my wife and I snorcoling and it leaked the first time we got in the water and it runed my sd card and we didn't have anyway to take more pictures of are trip yes I was mad and I got my money back... Go by a camera at a dive shop if you want good underwater camera.

I purchased this camera on a recommendation from a fellow scuba diver for a camera that is waterproof to 70 feet without a case on it. It does lose some of the reds and yellows the deeper you go (as is the problem with underwater diving) but it comes with software to allow you to correct a lot of it. I'm looking forward to my first diving trip to Cancun with it in a few weeks!

Bought after reading many professional and user reviews. Chose Canon D-30 over other underwater cameras mainly because of high ranking of Canon underwater picture quality from professional reviewers (depreview and imaging-resource). I have not tried it underwater yet but outdoor pictures are great. While I would like it to have a wifi connection to link to my iPhone and iPad to share copies without downloading to a computer , I purchased the verbatim wireless mediashare which is the size of a deck of cards and it establishes wifi connections to iPhones and iPads from which I can download or stream data on the SD memory card or from USB drives.

This is a great underwater camera for a great price. The photos have a great quality and the camera is very easy to use. I purchased this camera for a vacation and I'm very pleased.

I bought this camera after an extensive research on different brands. I own a point and shoot Canon and have no complains about it, so I figured this was going to be my best option. Boy, was I wrong!. I have been able to use it only twice, and the second time is when the screen went completely black. First time it happened, I called Canon and they tried troubleshooting but by then the camera has turned on and it seem to be working perfectly fine. I was able to download the pictures I had taken before the screen went black. Then I tried using it again on a family trip, and I couldn't take a single picture, as soon as the camera entered the water, the screen went black. I contacted Canon to send it in for repairs and they are charging me $203.00, that's more than half of what I paid. For that I rather invest on another brand and maybe I'll have better luck. Lately I've been reading a lot about this issue, and it seems to be a common complain. So, save yourself the trouble and the money and get another brand.

I bought one camera, the company replaced with another, and neither lasted me more than 2 trips. water seeps onto the camera, period. I loved they way it handled and felt in my hands, but that should not persuade anyone to buy this camera. I now have to go back to the company and have them hassle me again. poor workmanship. ruined my snorkeling trips
