As a small camera to take photos of family and friends it works fine. I own an earlier Powershot that also did well, but didn't have the reach that this one does (3x zoom vs 8x zoom). Haven't tested it as completely as I'd like, but only have had the camera a few weeks.

It takes excellent pictures and is easily handled.

if you want a camera which just works. No gimmick like wifi, etc... this is it. I don't think they have anything cheap and functional like this. For old people who just wants a simple picture, this is it.

The Canon PowerShot ELPH is the updated version of one that I have had for years. Its capacities far surpass the previous camera, and the price was very reasonable.

I primarily use this for headshots and it works great! Balanced color that captures white well, but be sure to use ‘Fill- Flash’ so you don’t get shadows when you have a white background and your shooting indoors.

Bought this for my parents to replace their old camera since we liked ours so much. It is relatively basic, which is to be expected for the price, but if you are looking for something that isn't super fancy, has a decent set of settings, and takes nice pictures, this camera will do just fine!

A easy to use little camera . I gave it to my mother and she loves it.

This is the perfect size to have in my purse or for outdoor activities such as hiking or kayaking. Already familiar with Canon products. I have had a Canon SLR digital camera for many years, and I still use it. But this new camera is perfect for when I don't want to haul around a larger camera.

Although I am still learning about this camera, I like the small size with many options I will use. It took me time to review all the instructions on-line and I wish the buttons were larger, but understand the camera would need to be larger!

I purchased the camera for a travel overseas I thought I was gonna I was gonna use it but I never dead so just give it to her friend otherwise it’s nice to have a pretty small to have in your purse

This little camera takes great pictures for the cost, and is a good value for the money. My only complaint would be downloading the pictures to a computer. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but it seems a USB cable work wonders for this little guy!

This is a compact durable camera that is easy to use. I miss placed my original one that I bought in 1972 in Japan. So don't lose yours! It will give you many years of good service.

just like everything else in the world its plastic,havent been out to use it, for what ive done happy with purchase for a point n shoot cause other hand works video camera

A good little camera for quick family photos. A little more money for the ELPH 190 yields better resolution videos (1080 vs 720 on the 180) and photos. My recommendation is get the 190 or sx360.

My daughter dropped her camera on our grass lawn and the lens ceased to retract, fully. We could still turn the camera on and take pictures, but the lens was not protected from debris and dust when the camera was off. Rather than try "fixing it" via web suggestions, we just took it back, since it was a recent purchase. In Best Buy's defense, they did warranty the camera, which was awesome, since it was a Christmas gift to my 12-year-old, but it was kind of a pain to have to take back something that was less than a month old for something so innocuous. Otherwise, fairly good camera that my girls are enjoying.
