Needed to get a camera for an upcoming trip as our existing camera will not accept an SD card with larger than a 2G capacity. The camera is small and lightweight and easy to use. It seems to take good pictures and has a nice zoom.

The camera performed well on my first use, a trip to Mexico, where I shot still photos, continuous-shot photos, and a few videos. It was easy to use, aside from the lack of a viewfinder (in the bright sunlight, I was left just guessing at what I was looking at through the LCD screen). For the price, I am quite happy. The camera is very compact and easy to carry. But it was certainly no comparison to my wife's Panasonic Lumix, which she employed on the trip, and which cost twice as much.

This is a great, easy to use camera. The pictures come out crisp, clear, and very clean when zoomed. I've purchased several for work. This one is for my personal use. It's small enough to carry in my front pocket and ready to use in no time.

I'm so pleased with the sure shot elph. It is easy to handle, quick, automatic and tiny enough to fit in a pocket or purse. I love that it's wifi accessible. Can't recommend it enough!

Although I have been using this for a short time, I like the ease and resolution better than my previous Canon point-and-shoot. Good picture quality, light weight and small. Much better than relying on my smart phone for all my pictures.

Nice alternate camera when I don't want to carry around my DSLR. Of course photos are not as good quality as my DSLR. Nice size to fit in my pocket when going to a autoshow or other type event. The camera has enough features to get good photos out of it. Only thing I don't like is the cheapness of the case made of all plastic and will break easy if dropped. Zoom is good enough for quick pictures. Overall I would buy this again for a 2nd camera.

    Next Camera - Big Response

My daughter used a 49.00 camera for years, and it finally gave up on a system error. All the while wanting more capability, buying books on photography, balking at a true DSLR she asked for an IS150. And waited... and waited... they're no longer available so she got it for Christmas. And loves it! Not enough time yet for her to go through all settings or modes (even video) but this is way more that she expected, and the ease of learning the menu from very little experience with a camera is definitely a plus. I can't give it a 5 (she probably would), but this and the older sisters' IS150 are very good cameras to have. Canon has kept good thing going with this newer version. The software hasn't been loaded yet, but win7 and previous Canon image software this has worked flawlessly so far. What can I say ... a 4+ for sure.

This is an easy to use camera, which is small, easy to hold and easy to keep in a shirt pocket, pants pocket or a pocket book. Very good zoom - better than my previous camera. It takes good, clear pictures, even in lower light - just using the auto feature. I had to turn off the flash to get some low light pictures - but that is easy to do. The only downside for me was in bright sunlight, because of glare on the LCD display, sometimes I was not sure exactly what picture I was taking.

Very User friendly camera for beginners. It is a 16mp camera with 1080p video. It has a good sensor and lens, so it produces high quality images. It has Wi-Fi, so you can transfer your videos and pictures to your pc that way, or directly to Facebook if you have an internet connection. The default auto settings seem to work very well, but there are other settings and features once you get more familiar with the camera. It has the usual delay mode for setting the camera down to take group pictures. The timer can be custom set up to a 30 second delay if you want, and up to 10 pictures can be taken before setting it again. Or you can use a feature that when it detects a smile, or wink, it will take a picture. There is less than 1 second delay after taking a picture until the still image is off the screen and you can tae another picture. The 12x optical zoom works great and can make high quality 8x10 photos. The 24x digital zoom is good too and works good with 5x7, but I haven't tried it for 8x10 yet. The 48x digital zoom is ok, but does lose some quality.

While I prefer to use a professional grade camera, it is not always convenient to take a big camera with me. This small camera does great shots and is a good value. I carry it with me now everywhere for those moments when a smartphone just can't grab the instant picture.

It is a light weight camera. The battery life is a little low, but the videos and images that the camera takes are of great quality. This camera is good for outdoors and indoors. I do not recommend the camera if you are planning to use it for professional photos. This is mainly good for small events, concerts, parties, etc.

This is a great camera. Nice zoom, good picture quality, fast shutter speed. Was a little bummed it didn't come with a USB cable since they now want you to upload your pictures via WiFi but I still prefer to use a USB cable which had laying around the house. The camera does struggle a bit in low lighting but most point and shoot cameras (and phones) do so overall very pleased.

The camera takes good pictures and is easy to use. The thing I do not like about it is that you have to open the battery compartment to charge it. The compartment door is very flimsy and probably will break. Next time I will ensure I buy a camera that I can charge with out taking the battery out.

Bought this to replace an older Canon Elph and my wife's Cheap Nikon. Since I have several other Canons I wanted another so the operation is similar. It's easy to use and the pictures it takes are great for our use.

We purchased this camera for something small we could take with us anywhere. We have three kids (two little ones) and wanted something that was easy to carry that would still allow us to capture photos and movies of them. This camera works perfectly! I also love the creative shot feature. The photo and video quality is outstanding. The camera is very easy to use as well. Great camera overall.
