So far so good, I like the clarity of the pictures, does a lot more than my old camera!

This is a great camera for beginners who want a smaller but higher megapixel camera.

Thought it would be better.... I've seen older Elph's take some very good pictures and have used various digital cameras for 20+ years. This model is a "head scratcher". What were they thinking? First, there is significant shutter lag so moving subjects or fast action shots are a challenge to time. Instructions (does anyone read them anymore) are skimpy (being generous) but in lots of languages. My wife considered them to be fairly useless. Advanced "scene", picture options are buried in the menu settings so hopefully you have lots of time to set up for a picture. "Micro" seems to mean less than 4 inches to object. Getting the auto-focus to do what you want (stop jumping all over the field of view and focusing on irrelevant objects) requires special set-up and a little luck finding your way through the similar sounding menu options. Flash distance is rated at 13 feet I believe, so be ready for up close and personal. Bright daylight pictures have decent detail and color. Overall, based upon my experiences, I rate it as an average camera that I won't have two(2) of.

It is very easy to use. Just point and click! You don't have to know much about photography to get a good shot!
