Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She was taking a elective in school and needed a point and shoot camera. (This is for 8th grade, not sending a high-end DSLR.) She had been using my old point and shoot, but there were settings she was learning about my older camera didn't have. This camera has more settings and a higher resolution. She has taken some amazing pictures with this.

The camera was easy to use and takes great pictures. Only complaint - seems that the battery runs down pretty fast and takes a long time to recharge

I was looking for a good pocket sized point and shoot camera to take on a trip. I have a great Canon DSLR, but wanted something I could carry in my pocket and did not want to spend a lot. This was just the ticket. Excellent picture quality in a small package at a very reasonable price. Love the convenience.

I bought this camera for my daughter. She researched about four months before deciding this camera was best for her. She Loves it because of the small and thinness of the camera, the zoom is great, the features and function aren't hard to use and get used to.

I bought this to replace a Samsung camera. I am a long time Canon user and am very happy with the features and ease of use. Very quick to focus and take a picture. Great low light capeability without needing to use a flash.

Purchased this camera for its small size. It is easier to use than we expected. Love the feature that gives the photos different qualities, like Sepia, Misty, very colorful, etc. Would recommend this for beginners as we are not professional photographers.

I bought this to record and make videos and take pictures here and there and I love it. Videos are HD (1080) which is my favorite feature on this camera. Pictures also turn out great. I love the fact that the microphone is in front of the camera which means when I'm facing the camera and I'm recording it'll be easier to hear my voice in the video. When going from inside to outside or a different light setting the camera adjusts really quick and doesn't take long to focus. Also you don't have to hold the camera far away in order to fit multiple people in the frame of the picture. Overall, I love this camera and the price.

This is a small camera that can take photos slightly better than a top-notch smartphone camera, specially in low-light conditions. The main advantage is that the photos are very neutral, compared to the heavy processing that smartphones do to each picture. This camera can be connected via wi-fi to a smartphone, this is done by installing a Canon app on the phone. With this app it is possible to copy pictures from the camera and to use the phone as a remote viewfinder and shoot the camera remotely and even control zooming. It is difficult to connect the phone to the camera, at least in my phone (Nexus 6P) it seems that the wi-fi connection is disconnected automatically if no internet access is detected, so it takes a few attempts to make the phone accept the connection and to quickly open the app to start the connection with the camera, and this can be frustrating. The picture quality is nice, very neutral color and depth. There are not many manual adjustments that can be done, but the programs and automatic focus and WB and other configurations are responsive and easy to adjust. This is a good camera to carry around and take casual pictures, not much difference to a high-end smartphone camera, but it is a great companion for it in vacations or some events where different lighting conditions are expected or where a little bit of optical zoom can make a difference.

I first purchased a small Nikon but when I chose the flash does not fire at anytime, it flashed anyway plus the picture quality was not to my liking. So I returned it and bought the Canon Powershot. I takes great pictures and doesn't flash when I choose that feature. Plus it is small enough that I can carry it in my purse without weighing it down.

I bought this camera right before I left for London. I didn't play with it much before I began taking pictures. Pictures, zoom, everything is great! Although, it was on some setting that took 6 creative shots for every 1 that I took. I thought this was something it did after every picture and didn't think anything of it until I loaded 1800 pictures onto my computer. Some of them were cool but it was a lot to sort through!

This is a camera you can put in your pocket and take anywhere. Very good picture quality under various lighting conditions. Holds a charge well. Cannot be beat for convenience.

This camera takes very good photos, both in bright light and dim light conditions. I like the camera very much. I just wish there were fewer steps to delete photos.

Bought this for our vacation. Too many times we take pictures with our phones and I wanted better quality vacation pictures. The camera is easy to use and takes really good pictures for a point and shoot.

I like this particular camera because it has all the features that I need to take family photos. Pictures are of excellent quality and zoom allows me to take good pictures from stadium/auditorium seating. Very easy to use.

Have to tell you as an old camera person... I've used everything from a Brownie Star Flash to every Instamatic that Kodak created, to the Canon Power Shot of 2002... Well, this Power Shot is just wonderful. And I was skeptical because the cameras now'days do not have view-finder lenses through which to check the object of your shot. Well, turns out it's great. The photos are very clear, little difficult to manage in my old hands, but that's not the camera's fault. Wish it was a little heavier just so I could hold it better. But other than that, I'm really having fun with it. A great, fun camera! 5 stars!

This camera is perfect for my work. It is small in size and light. I can carry it in my pocket and have it available in a moment when I need it. The battery seems to last a long time and the camera takes great pictures.

I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA FOR AN UPCOMING VACATION. IT WAS EASY TO USE AND UPON RETURNING HOME I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW WELL MY PICTURE TURNED OUT. THE ZOOM WAS UNBELIVABLE...I AM VERY HAPPY I CHOSE THIS CAMERA. I BOUGHT A EXTRA BATTERY AND IT PROVED TO BE WORTH IT.

I had a Canon Sure Shot many years ago so was familiar with the quality of the product. My Nikon is a good camera, but I sometimes have difficulty with low light situations. I've ben pleasantly surprised with the effectiveness of Canon Elph's low light feature.
