slim & easy to use. When you are not feeling like carrying heavy weight camera & dont want to damage it i water etc. Feel free to get this one. Good buy for the price & good pic quality. Been using it for all my travels.

This is a great Canon camera, combining performance with ease of use. Great zoom for such a slim body, with a very adaptive focus while zooming as well. This camera is feature rich - make sure to familiarize yourself with all of the settings and take some time to learn what the differences are between alternative modes. The auto settings do typically work well most of the time but you will find greater performance once you learn all of the options available. The ability to connect to W -FI to transfer/share pictures is really powerful here, but the setup is not necessarily simple or intuitive. Make sure to take your time with understanding how to do this, at first it may seem as if it doesn't work at all but with further investigation it will work quick and smooth. Specifically I am talking about how you connect the camera to your phone/tablet/computer to transfer the pics. The camera itself will show as it's own access point once you connect it to your WI-FI, then you can simply connect your device to the camera. The instructions are not clear on how to do this but basically you just connect the camera and go through the process to transfer via WI-FI, but the process will usually fail at first. Then you just go to connect again but this time select the camera itself as the connection point, this will allow you to connect your device to it directly, and is the quickest way I've found to do the transfer. Once it is connected, the transfer is quick and painless. My only complaint with this camera is that the picture quality isn't the clearest or sharpest, and you sometimes really have to work to make sure you captured a blur-free image. This is usually the case at this price point though, and this camera is a great value and performs well for it's small size. Highly recommended, just be patient at first and be realistic in your expectations.

Camera doesn't take pic fast enough. But it takes perfect pictures

I find there to be too much manual and several steps for every function. Once it is operated it does a great job but still trying to find time to learn all of the info on this camera.

I am taking it to Europe with me because it is light and compact.

My family was going on vacation and me being a Canon girl needed a new camera. My older two Canons were damaged(workable, but damaged). I wanted a budget friendly camera with upgraded features and this camera has just about all the features you can think of for less than $200. And I cannot forget to mention wifi and the picture burst feature that takes multiple pics by holding down the shutter button.

use to document damaged vehicles. easy to use and good quality in different lighting. could be sturdier to hold up with constant use and possible drops/misuse

This camera is wonderful. It takes great pictures and has a great zoom on it.

Works way better then the other camera I had. It has some really nice features on it. Just takes awhile to get used to all of the controls. But it perfect for when I don't want to lug my big camera around.

My wife uses this camera to record her YouTube videos and it works as a great video camera. Only complaint is the battery life isn't the greatest but we solved that with after market batteries.

I wanted a smaller camera to take on vacation with me so I wouldn't need to lug my DSLR. I was looking for quality, but a reasonable price. This fit the bill perfectly. I still have to master all of the settings, but it will be fun to figure out.
