I got it as a gift for my girlfriend, and we've been using it for the last few months. Everything works perfectly. The photos come out amazing, and vlogging saves memories for our future kids and us.

I was looking at a compact point and shoot camera with decent zoom for taking on trips when I didn't want to lug my DLSR around. I got the G7X because of the positive reviews. The camera feels pretty solid, more so than I gave it credit. The controls are easy to access and use and the menu system is easy to navigate even if you have never used a Canon camera before. In normal and bright lighting, the pictures look clear and sharp and the autofocus is pretty quick. I will need to test out the low light performance. I assume it should do OK with the 1.8 lens. The videos I shot look fine, but I don't shoot much video. I didn't have the expectation this camera would keep up with any of the prosumer DSLRs, but this has been meeting my expecatations.

Selfies are 1000 times easier with this. The picture quality is amazing and enhanced. Multiple features to choose from makes taking pictures smoother and high quality. Also records!

I like what I got. I use this camera for casual photos, so it has what I need. That's what matters to me.

Easy to carry on trips due to size and weight. The quality is so much better than your smart phone. Highly recommend this camera. If you want ultra great pics, of course use SLR but it's bulky and often inconvenient.

I purchased this camera with hopes that it would produce an image equal to or better than my iPhone 11 Pro Max. It seems to do very well, but I have learned that there is A LOT to learn about camera settings. It seems to have great potential. I do like how compact it is.

We purchased this camera primarily for video blogging and we are very pleased with its performance on that front. However, we quickly learned that this camera is far more than a "one-trick pony." It packs a ton a features into a small, reliable package. Most importantly, the quality of images is great.

Great size for traveling though I have not tried it out yet. The video seems to be nice too, but one thing is that it does have trouble focusing on your face sometimes. But I think that is just most cameras, phones just do that quick focus better...

Paid 2x for the camera through a private best buy seller but it does what it’s supposed to do. I’m not sure the cost outweighs the benefits
