This camera is a perfect first camera or a nice backup to your DSLR. My 12 year old have taken to this very quickly. Easy to use and full featured. Good battery life too. The only thing I noticed is that if you have larger hands this will feel a bit small and a little awkward to use. Perfect for smaller hands.

Bought this as my first camera before shifting to DSLR. However, it does not has the many features that a DSLR carry. It is a decent camera by the way with no much complications. Can be your first camera!

I love this camera, it stays in my purse and I never miss a shot! My other camera has so many lenses and accessories that I keep it in a back pack, so needless to say I used to miss shots when I wasn't wearing the back pack! This camera is light, easy to carry and takes really nice pictures - and its a CANON! Its good enough to allow at least a small amount of cropping if you plan on producing large prints.

So far I'm in love with this canon! First camera that's not a pocket camera. Will be taking it to Disneyland and plan to take some awesome pictures! Highly recommended.

This is a GREAT camera that can be used for just about anything that you need. It is a nice size. Bigger than a point and shoot, but not as big as an SLR. Does great videos, and great PICs too. Have always believed in the Canon brand, and have had great products from them.

Shoots great clear pictures and love the powerful zoom. Can't wait to take on vacation for those shots you just can't get close enough.

Bought this for taking ad pics of cars at our lot. Filled our needs perfectly, not to small and good quality for the price

This camera is similar to an older Canon SX120 that we own, and the controls and menus are close to the same. Canon eliminated a few of the control buttons on the camera that we're used to using, but that isn't a big problem. The larger screen is a plus, but it is fixed, versus the swivel out screen on the older model. We also miss the full neck strap that they eliminated in place of the wrist strap on this model.

Bought this for sporting events. Looks great, pictures look even better. Best of all price was reasonable on sale.

Excellent zoom. Auto-focus is a bit slow and not always accurate when zooming in low-light conditions, though.

Easy to use takes great pictures had no problems setting it up just took it out of box and it was ready to go

does not get five stars as not that intuitive, wander around the menu and controls trying to change some `setting , needs to more user friendly though somewhat of improvement over previous moddel
