I know cell phones are the "go-to" device these days but some of us are still a little old-fashioned and like to use digital cameras. This Canon is easy to understand and use and does not require one to be a professional photographer. As advertised, it takes great photos in low light situations and the 16.0 mp give you a professional quality photo each time. I admit, I am a little biased as I own 3 other Canon cameras (including 2 point and shoots) but this device is a priced well and delivers a good bang for the buck.

I bought this for my Dad who travels occasionally and likes to take pictures when he does. He is pretty happy with the product. This Camera takes wonderful pictures in any light, although the flash is not the best out there. But Wi-Fi support is a plus. For a $250 on a Thanksgiving sale, I will say it's the best point and shoot camera of 2016. The only con I will say is no RAW file support but my dad does not seem to mind it, so all in all a productive buy. I will recommend it to all!!

This camera gave me great framefilling moon shots handheld (without a tripod)! Macro gets ultra close, camera is easy to use. Still the low sensor noise and processing noise of a DSLR is much better for large dynamic range, but for everything else this camera is amazingly sharp for its versatility.

I purchased this camera as a gift for my wife and she loves it. She loves the network features (wifi/nfc) so she can seamlessly connect with her phone. She also loves the various fun picture modes and the zoom. While the pictures are not the quality of an DSLR, it still takes good pictures especially for novice photographers like us.

Both of my daughters own this camera and both rave about the pictures, the ease of use and the wireless connectivity to their iPhones. I have seen the pictures and they look like high quality SLR shots. The zoom is remarkable for a camera this size.

Now let me tell you about this awesome camera! From the time I pulled it out of the box I could tell that it was build extremely well. The 42x Optical Zoom (24-1008mm) and 24mm Wide-Angle lens is incredible. For that same capability in a SLR you would pay a ton. I really became impressed one I started taking photos. Because of the size and versatility I find myself in more situations to take incredible shots, therefore this camera is quickly becoming my camera of choice when I go out. And for those that don’t understand the Zoom Framing Assist technology, this is a great feature. The frame assist really does make it easy to track your subject while using the extreme telephoto.

Easy use for beginners who want more than a point and shoot, and a nice segway to more professional cameras. From every day shooting to shots of more importance, it's great for home and travel.

Takes amazing pictures it is easy to change settings, it is light weight and easy to carry. Awesome for hd videos and the fact that it has a rechargeable battery makes it very convenient specially since it's quick to charge and the charging piece is tiny. Would def recommend this camera to anybody!

Decent point and shoot with a great zoom. Outdoors in daylight is where this shines. Built in wifi works but the canon apps for iOS are a bit lacking. If you are planning on shooting a lot of night photos where it's darker and the flash won't cover (i.e. Outside) you'll need to go full manual or look at a different camera.

I am relatively new to photography so my review will not focus much on the specifications. I bought this camera to upgrade from an older version in the Canon PowerShot Series. This camera is amazing. I love that you have the capability to use the manual mode. Many of the settings can be changed so you are not locked into using default modes on the camera. This camera is very well rounded. It does amazing macro pictures as well at other types. It also shoots incredibly detailed 1080p video. It captures colors and details beautifully. This camera is a great entry camera for those new to photography. It's doesn't have as many bells and whistles as a DSLR camera but it gives you enough leeway to learn much of the basics. Overall, I highly recommend this camera to experienced and inexperienced photographers alike. It is an amazing camera for the price.

Price is right for this entry level high zoom point and shoot. 50x zoom and manual mode is nice. Lacks the features of higher end cameras, but it's really good for this price range. Pictures are clear. Auto focus is a little slow. Full HD video is really nice. Battery life is good.

I would highly recommend this camera. Easy to use. Excellent pictures. Long lasting battery.

Camera images are excellent! Fairly easy to use! Lots of options to address various shooting situations! The Wiz-Fi was easy to set-up and works well. The only thing missing is an optical viewfinder.

Cannon cameras are the best brand and I have a smaller one like this one so I knew it would be a good one and the price was good.it is a sturdy camera that takes great pictures and it is easy to use.It also has wi fi built in and a very good zoom.The pictures print up nice to.Cannon is the only brand I buy now.

My daughter and I both have this camera. We find it moderately easy to use. The auto focus works well if you do not have the inclination to use all the features (of which it has many). It takes an excellent picture and the zoom is incredible. The downside is that you cannot charge the battery in the camera. I bought an extra battery so I'm always ready to go.

So you can't take "serious photographer" quality pictures unless you're lugging around a DSLR with a detachable lens and a handheld flash? While four decades of pro experience certainly helped, I got these shots with the SX530 after owning it less than a week. I also enjoy NOT having to lug around twenty-packs of batteries!
