Very good camera for the price , easy to use and grate pictures I like the WiFi

Purchased the PowerShot SX530 as a birthday gift for my granddaughter turning 15 years old. Great starter camera for her to see if she likes photography. Takes great pictures and is easy to use. She is very pleased with it. Has taken it to several of her brother's basketball games. Takes good action shot photos. She is enjoying this camera very much!

I've only had the camera for a short time, but so far I am mostly pleased. I've had some occasional problems with certain pictures being a bit flushed out, but I'm still learning all of the camera's features, so hopefully, I'll be able to solve this issue. It's got a great zoom and it's been very easy to use as a point and shoot.

I was looking for an easy-to-use camera that was a step up from the smaller travel ones. This one takes great pictures. It was easy to get the hang of the different setting options. I love the quality of my photos both outdoor and inside of individuals.

This camera was actually a gift for my daughter. I have one like it which she has used and loves. Easy to use and great for those zoom pictures and high speed shots needed for vacation and sports events. Just what is needed when a phone picture just won't do the trick.

Bought this camera specifically for a road trip. Couldn't be happier or more satisfied with its performance! Easy to use. The pictures taken were awesome!

I purchased this camera for the holidays and I have not been disappointed as a camera is easy to use and works very well. The photos have been great and the camera is easy to handle. Flash works very well and I like the LED screen, very clear photo view.

This Canon has really nice zoom capabilities and is easy to use for lots of different conditions. I have used it in difficult night light conditions as well as outside bright sun. The auto features account for a variety of conditions. The battery lasts a long time as well. I use a 32 gig card which holds a huge number of pics. It is easy to transfer pics quickly by inserting the card directly into my MacBook Pro's SD slot. I had previously had a Nikon equivalent which made it just barely out of warranty before failing. . Only time will tell if the Canon lasts longer as my previous cameras have done.

This camera has the best digital single lens focal length, over 200mm, in its class type. Long distance photos are clear with exceptional quality. Even though the SX530 is an older model, the functional features currently exceed and are better than newer higher priced models.

The camera is great. Just make sure you have an extra battery charged if you're going to record. I say "got me" because I was in a rush and didn't shop around much, so I didn't know BJ's has the exact same camera without wifi for $150 and I paid $299+ for the cam. But overall, great cam.

Love this camera for it's ease of use. It takes beautiful pictures. It takes wonderful nature shots outdoors and also does well in low light. Very easy to transfer to my phone or remove the card and stick in my laptop.

This is my second Canon camera. The first one had an unfortunate accident. However the sx530 has far outperformed the previous camera. This camera is lightweight for its size. Takes great pictures. Takes HD video and allows zooming while in video mode. This has been great for taking pictures of small children on the move as well as taking pictures of animals outdoors from a distance. I would recommend this since it performs great and is reasonably priced.

I am satisfied with this camera. It is a basic digital camera that takes good pictures. For the money it is a good buy. The only issue I am having is getting it to connect to my computer via wifi. This will take some help from customer service.

For travel I wanted a light weight camera that included a high power zoom. I have been very pleased with the results.

I bought this camera 3 weeks ago for a wedding I was going to and to take celestial pictures (i.e. moon phases, stars, meteor showers, etc.). So far, this camera has not disappointed one bit. I'm still learning how to mess with some of the features. My cousin, who is a professional photographer, was actually impressed by the camera. The only issue she had with it was the lack of a viewfinder but I definitely do not mind this at all. If that is a feature you are looking for the SX50 HS has a viewfinder. The app works great with my phone and the camera. I can take pictures from the app. It works well with the WiFi transmitted from the camera. This feature is also great if you instantly want to text or upload your high quality image and share with friends and family. The battery life is great! I've been able to take pictures for 3 days continously without charge. When taking pictures every other day, the battery lasted me around 5 days. I don't know how long batteries usually last on cameras of these types but this is enough for me. Overall, this camera is a great buy (beginner or not) unless if you are looking for one with a viewfinder. At that point, I would refer you to the SX50 HS.

The camera was easy to use. Took great action shots at the Monterey Aquarium. I showed the pictures on our HD tv and they looked awesome.

I really like this camera. It does everything I want and the pictures come out clear. I use it for my web site and don't have to edit the raw form. It is not too bulky so traveling with it is easy.
