I offered my wife a new camera for Valentines Day. I researched DSLRs and urged her toward those. But even though she's a very experienced photographer, she prefered the single-lens versatility and lighter weight of this Canon. She's been very happy with it since. She hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon last week, and said, "Even though I wanted to pack as light as possible, taking the camera along was absolutely worth it." She got great shots in all light levels.

I bought the camera in January 2015 and have used it quite extensively for winter hawk and owl watching. The camera has worked great! I have taken some of the best raptor photos ever because of the long telephoto lens. Yes you have to stabilize the camera to get clear, sharp pictures when using the long zoom but the results are fantastic! The camera lacks the speed of the SLRs so flight photos aren't great but I knew that going into the purchase. In the past I have had the 35X, the 50X and now the 65X - the 65X is definitely my favorite. The setting have changed from the 50X so you will have to play around with it again to get the feel of where everything is located, but you have to do it with any new camera. Great long zoom point & shoot Camera!

The Canon Powershot SX60HS is a great camera for individuals either just getting into photography or for intermediate enthusiasts. The ability to shoot in RAW & have full manual control is a huge plus. Creative shot mode is a blast & the FULL HD Video is impressive to say the least. Cannot wait until the SX70HS!

After using this new camera for about 2 months...it is quickly becoming one of the best ones ever owned. The 65X Zoom and 60FPS 1080p features are superb, but the other built-in controls make it a fantastic unit. Already got the 58mm adapter ring and a variety of filters and hood cover. Very pleased with this camera.

I shoot with myCanon 7d mark ii with ls series lenses camera, but I needed a second camera, that was lighter, reliable ad for the pictures to be of excellent quality, but it needed to have all the gadgets I need. The Canon SX60 has more that what I expected, the range on the lens from a 24 to a 1,300 is excellent, the screen, TV AV, IOS and speed ranges, it can use the the Canon 600 series flash and the quality of the pictures are excellent. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with the camera

Great camera for pictures and 1080p videos. The zoom is awesome. The Wi-Fi is another great feature. from pictures of the moon's craters to sporting events that make you feel like you're right next to the athletes this camera does it all for me... I have worked with some DSLR cameras, and no this camera is not going to out do the picture quality of DSLR's, but it is close and with a built in zoom lens that can go out to 1365mm without having to change and carry several zoom lenses, you couldn't ask for a better camera.

I bought this to augment my SLRs and I love it. Instead of purchasing an additional, and much more expensive, lens that achieves the same distance, (1350mm!!!) I went with the sx60. It works with all my flashes, which drastically increases creativity and shot quality. Easy to use. Great quality for a point and shoot. Having been used to SLR, my only disappointment is the refresh between shots. Conclusion: a great camera to augment slrs and travel.

The new Canon SX60 has the biggest and best optical zoom in its class (don't buy ANY camera based on its digital zoom, as optical zoom provides a far superior image. It also has a ton of other features including multiple scene selections such as portrait, sports, landscape, fireworks, etc, plus the ability to apply multiple special effects to a single picture, plus many more features and options. Also has a hot shoe, thus allowing you to attach a professional flash. And dont forget its full HD video recording ability, thus giving you an all-in-one camera that also has bult-in Wi-Fi, allowing you to wirelessly transfer pics to your WI FI phone, tablet, computer and TV!

This canon is a great point and shoot camera. The zoom is excellent and has a lot of stability at high zoom with the image stabilization. I had a little difficulty finding the right setting for motion shots avoiding blurring. I would recommend for someone looking for a high zoom point and shoot.

With four grandkids, I have used the SX60 a lot since my purchase. I am slowly but surely learning the features important to me. Takes nice pictures and being able to zoom in is why I bought in the first place. I have owned Canon cameras in the past and have always been pleased. The camera went on sale about two weeks after my purchase, which was disappointing.
