It came down to three choices, this camera and two other Canon models that had much better zoom. She's OK with less zoom and favored the size and weight over the two larger and more bulky models. She hasn't used the camera very much so it's hard to comment on it's picture taking quality. I can say that the few photos she's taken turned out very good.

Takes really great pictures and fantastic high definition videos and won't break the bank!

I'm not in love with this camera. I have purchased and used a variety of compact and dSLR cameras, both Canon and Nikon. I am, without a doubt, a Canon girl. I have two other Canon compacts in the $200 and $400 price points which I love but I'm kind of disappointed with this one. The picture quality is not what I have come to expect from Canon and although I love Canon's user friendly interfaces I find this one lacks any creative options.

I buy ALL my electronics from Best Buy..great service,warranties and selection..ive even become friends with a few employees..I have a Canon rebel 5Ti and love it but didnt have a point and shoot camera so i went and bought the Canon sx610 and wow!,what an amazing camera..it has more features than i needed but i'm glad i have it..easy to use,great lens,and of course,its a Canon..great camera,great price!!

Camera takes good pictures and is easy to understand. Can easily take sports shots.

I had to replace my older camera SX 130 Canon. The new one is much thinner and lighter.

This camera was the same price everywhere. Best Buy had it in stock and was helpful in explaining why this camera. Was the best value.

good pictures and easy to use. Good focus for up close shots

Got this for those days when I don't want to carry my Sony a5000. It works quickly and smoothly. It doesn't have as good an anti-motion as my Sony but it gets the job done and the flash is not too bright. The manual pop up flash takes a few shots to get used to. It does get a bit in the way for those with bigger hands like me.

This camera took high quality pictures, was easy to use after getting used to it.

The wifi is a plus for me and being able to transfer pictures to my phone easily. Doesnt take the best pictures at night though. If you are an average person looking for an everyday good camera, not sure this is the answer. Although I may just not know how to use the features.

My mom needed a new camera. Her old camera was taking a long time to record pictures after they were taken. I tried using a different faster memory card, but it didn't help. My mom needed a camera which could take pictures faster, but still be reasonably small. This camera is a perfect match. My mom was using Canon PowerShot S400 for several years, and controls were similar.

Overall a great camera. There are a lot of features and settings that can be a little overwhelming until you read the instructions. However, once I glanced over the manual it got very easy. The picture quality is really good. The movies it can shoot are great quality as well. Overall a good point and shoot camera for the price.
