Met my requirements for size, ease of use and scene modes. Night pictures without flash or tripod came off without a hitch. It appears that the camera takes multiple shots at a high enough shutter speed in conjunction with stabilization to eliminate shake when hand held and then combines the shots into one picture. Pictures of "Central Park" at night on Allure of the Seas came out sharp with great exposures.

This camera has what I needed in that it is pocket size yet has a good zoom lens and a decent number of pixels. The auto mode handles almost any normal picture taking situation but special conditions can be met using the manual setting mode. I really like that you can photograph an item as close as 2 inches away and then magnify it significantly later.

Bought this camera for a recent trip to Ireland. Wanted a camera that I could easily carry but that would take pictures in a wide variety of situations. Have a Canon Digital SLR but didn't want to have to carry multiple lenses. This camera was 20 Megapixels so the pictures were pretty sharp. It has a good telephoto and Image Stabilization so even landscapes came out great. The viewing screen on the back is large and very clear but I miss the traditional view finder, especially in bright light outdoors situations. Also would have like a faster C-MOS. Being on a tour bus there were pictures that "got away" because the camera couldn't react fast enough to the situation. Video is GREAT.

I like this camera for its zoom lens, it focuses easily on the subject. It takes better pics than my old camera, which was a Kodak. Its small and can be carried in my purse.

I purchased this camera for my wife. She has had several high end cameras but all have been heavy and hard to use. Both of us like this camera for lite weight and it is very easy to use. Photos are very good color and are clear. For everyday photos this camera is hard to beat. Great battery life.

I purchased this camera as a replacement for an older Canon with less zoom. So far it has served its purpose. I have not printed and images from it yet, so I cannot comment on the final quality. I am not a big fan of the popup flash on this model. I prefer the flash built right into the body. Overall, it seems comparable to my previous Cannon and will suffice for what I need. The additional optical zoom will help when I am at a concert--which is mainly what I use my camera for. It has a relatively compact size which makes it easy to fit in a pocket.

    Excellent camera, annoying flash

Overall the camera works well -- turns on/off quickly, focus is sharp and pictures look great. But there is one issue that prevents me from recommending it: the flash. You turn on the flash by pressing a button on the side which causes the flash to "pop up" on the left-top of the camera. This causes two problems: First, the location of the flash is awkward -- I have big hands, and the flash is right where I want to put my forefinger to hold the camera. My wife with smaller hands does not have this problem as she holds the camera differently. Second, and more importantly, it is annoying to always have to hit the manual switch to turn the flash on. If you turn the camera off and then on again, you have to hit the switch again. There is no way to put the camera flash in an "automatic mode" where the flash will automatically pop up when needed. So the scenario works out like this... we are at a dinner party or restaurant where the flash is needed to take a picture. But we may take one picture of some friends and then turn the camera off for 10 minutes before we see some other friends and want to take their picture... so we turn the camera on and take a picture but... no flash. "Oh, wait guys, we have to turn on the flash again!" Hit the button, take the picture again, turn off the camera... and 10 minutes later repeat the whole process. WHY can't we just set the mode to "automatic" so every time I turn on the camera, the flash just turns on if needed? Every other point-and-click camera I have ever had works that way. So... for this reason alone, I would never buy this camera again. But that is just me. Sorry for the rant.

I've had several Canon cameras. This one is just as good or better than the previous ones. Good quality shots. Good battery life. Easy to use. I'm not crazy about the flash mechanism. It appears to be trouble waiting to happen. The flash has limited options available to use it. The camera is light, small and thin. Good screen size and quality. Reasonable fast start up. All in all I don't have any big complaints. It works fine.

This camera was very easy to use right out of the box (aside from having to purchase the memory chip separately). Takes great pictures and the battery lasted all day long on a recent trip, I charged it each night. Good zoom. For the price, this is a nice camera.

Great mini camera fits in pocket easy to use takes great quality high res photos great little camera for the money. Also small if too small next sony up is just a little larger and has a better hand grip. If you want good quality and really small this is best bang for the monet. Similar Canon cameras did not seemed not as sharp/clear and bright/white with a more yellow tint to images also fit and finish looked better to me.

I was looking for a new camera to replace my old one and was hesitant to go back to Canon since my last Canon started having a lens error one month have I purchased it. So far this camera has been great! I love the new features where you can wifi connect and send photos from your digital camera to your phone. Photos are clear and the camera is fast. I just wish the flash would auto pop up when it is too dark.

I couldn't have gotten a better camera for my cruise to Alaska. The pictures came out fantastic, clear & detailed. Thanks to the zoom feature I got a great up close video of a baby bear eating on the side of the road. It is small enough that I felt comfortable handling it without fear of dropping it and the lightness in the weight made if very comfortable to carry around the ship. My only suggestion would be it would have been nice had it come with some kind of cloth carrying bag. for a bit of protection when putting it in a purse or something. I was fortunate the ship had the perfect little over the shoulder bag that was just big enough for my camera and phone.. I love this camera and I would recommend it to everyone..
