    For a safari I wanted a long lens but not the weight of my dslr. Has some trouble focusing and is noisy in poor light. But knowing the limits I can make it work. In bright light and good contrast it is excellent.

    This is a nice camera but when we received the open box all of the accessories were missing and we found out that the LCD is defective, flickers and prevents shots to be taken when it happens. Buying brand new would have been better.

    I've had neck surgery and wear glasses, very difficult to look through a "View Finder". With the set up on this camera simply amazing.

    Birds are seldom in my face to take a picture. The 60x optical zoom helps a lot for spotting/shooting stuff I couldn't normally see.

    I'm confused as to why Canon upgrades this model and continues to remove features, but the real reason for the poor rating is the auto focus is horrible. Bright daylight is fine..shade or inside forget it. Our old SX40 did a better job than this camera ever could. Stay away folks...

    Its a good buy if you arent concerned with photographing the moon or stars. Otherwise, a decent mid level for a beginner. Returned it and got a Nikon 7200 , much better detail & Lenses include.

    Really wanted this camera but due too idiotic employees very unprofessional when i went to pick up i returned it immediately never took it home I’ll take my business and spend my money at B&H photo there you deal with adults much better experience Best Buy will soon be going out of business the way there running things
