I recently purchased this Canon PowerShot SX710HS Camera from BestBuy....I can. only say gosh!!!!!! what a wonderful camera. Well done Canon. It does everythink I want and some. I do have a Canon Rebel Ti2 which is an excellent Camera as well. However, the small SX710HS is much much smaller and does as good a job of taking photos and video. and . more than the Rebel Ti2. I would recommend this camera to anyone , It takes wonderful stills and super videos. I can not recommend this SX710HS enough. I purchased it at BestBuy and it was priced at $339. But on Amazon it was priced at $289.49. BestBuy priced matched this Camera for $339.49. Thank you to Canon and BestBuy

Takes good quality pictures, with 30 x optical zoom. It is compact and lightweight. It has many features although can get complicated need to study manual which can be work, but the basics are straightforward. Printed manual not complete need to download from website for full details.

This is my 2nd Canon higher end pocket camera. I liked the first but I wanted to upgrade. This camera has great range on its lens / zoom. It also has 20MP for great resolution. I travel a lot and don't want to lug around a larger camera and changeable lens's what a drag for little gain unless if you want to spend many thousands more $$$$. This gives me the same performance and photos I can make large prints from. The camera is also fast great for taking action shots of subjects like whales breaching, my previous Canon was a little on the slow side so I missed many great shots. If you want a great quality camera with great versatility and all the functions you would ever want then you wont go wrong with this one.

Love this camera! Great 30x zoom and 20.3-Megapixel Digital Camera. Easy to use and light weight. I take it everywhere and the images are practically noiseless.

This camera takes great shots for a point and shoot, we rarely get grainy shots in low light. Its very quick to take the picture. Its a decent size as to not be bulky but you won't feel like your going to break it.

I wanted a compact camera, with an excellent zoom, several modes to play around with including manual. In the past I have loved sunset or foliage modes. But cameras nowadays do not have them. However, this camera has a Live mode which is wonderful as you can select the degree of warming or darkening, etc. to get the desired effect and tones. I love this mode! The zoom is great for moon pictures, especially for a camera that fits in your pocket. Really love and recommend this camera :-)

Bought new a couple days before trip to Europe so didn't read manual. It still was easy to use. Took great pictures. Tremendous storage and resolution.

I wanted a Nokia P600 but my budget couldn't do that. Plus I've read reviews on the poor Customer Service at Nokia now. So my 2nd choice was the Canon sx 530 after reading reviews on here about it. The Salesman at Best Buy told me the SX710 is actually a better camera for the money and easier to hold and carry. But I wanted the 50x zoom and this only has 30x so I was hesitant. After all when spending over $250.00 on a point and shoot camera you want the best you can get at the price you can afford. This salesman said after 30x zoom really all cameras without a tripod will start to get grainy or blurry. I haven't read reviews on this camera yet but I can tell you, after just one day I love it!! I'm still trying to figure out some of the settings but my photos for the most part were very clear. The one's that aren't are my fault for not knowing what setting I was on or not waiting for the focus. I zoomed in so close on a lamp in the park you can see the set screw! I wish I could upload more than 2 photos to show you the clarity. I'm totally loving this camera!

Quick start, intuitive user interface, good zoom, compact size. The battery dimension is different from my old canon camera, so I cannt use the batteries I have.

Okay, I don't claim to be an expert on Point and Shoots, but this one is very good IMHO. I looked and researched before buying, and this met almost all my criteria. I already own a 7D and the fabulous 5D Mark III, but those are clunky to carry around to a sporting event- and try getting into a concert with one of those! The 30x Optical lens is the equivalent of a 750mm, which is multiple times the price of this cam. And yes, that's too far to use practically without a pod (although it's fun to try). The only thing lacking is a RAW mode and a bit wider aperture. The file sizes generated are large enough to do some work with in Lightroom. I wish the sensor was larger, though it does trap a good deal of data. After a couple of shoots now, I would still buy this one again. No remorse here.

Bought this camera to replace a pocket camera that we wore out. This one works Great. We have used it for a overseas cruise, and it works easily and good. I had a Canon before, and didn't even have to read the manual, because it works the same. I also have a Rebel, but much prefer this small one. The pics are just as good.

This camera held up very well on several trips, easy to handle, great features, and the pics came out amazing. The red is a cool twist too!

From nature trips and photographing birds to basketball tournaments and photographing players in action, this is been the best camera we've ever owned. We're both so happy with it and all the features. Also lightweight and fits in pocket. The zoom is terrific. We bought a mono pod to help with really really long shots. Great purchase !

Late last year, I bought the Canon SX700 camera as a replacement for the older Canon camera. I liked the idea of a 30x zoom lens and found it works great, especially photographing wildlife. So recently I bought the Canon SX7100 camera which is quite similar to the SX700 except for the pixel count which is more. The photos with this camera are excellent at all zoom ranges and for its size, fits well in a pocket. Have not tried videos yet, nor its WiFi capabilities since they are not that important to me at this time but will be at a later date. It has other attributes which I am anxious to try out later. But now, I am just enjoying taking photos with it. By the way, I gave the SX700 to my wife and she is thrilled with it.

This camera takes beautiful pictures whether it's in an advanced or auto mode. The menu is easy to navigate which is a huge thing for me. There are plenty of resolution and picture profile options. I wanted a point and shoot that easily fit in my pocket. I'm taking a break from bringing the big DSLR on vacation with the family.

One of my main reasons for choosing this camera (beside the price) is the 30X Optical Zoom. I had a previous Powershot point and shoot and I loved it, so I was comfortable with the product line. So far, I am enjoying the camera quite a bit. One of my annoyances with my previous Powershot was how long it took for the flash to be ready after using it. This camera has solved that problem. The wait time is 1 or 2 seconds now, as opposed to about 10 seconds before. Another of my reasons for buying this camera was to be able to shoot HD video. This camera can go as high as 60 fps video. I tried it out at a concert I went to. It does a great job - but fair warning. Shooting at that quality consumes massive amounts of memory. The wifi features are something that I never thought I would use, but once you try it, it is actually very cool and very convenient. I won't use it all the time, but it is definitely more useful than I thought it would be. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase.

Good camera only 2 things that were a problems. Battery life during excessive use isn't long. Keep battery charger close by. Also during a lot of usage, I would get a busy signal once I clicked to take the picture. I have to turn the camera off to sort of 'reboot' it. It takes great pics and is a good starter camera.

Camera is easy to use. The size is perfect for everyday use. Compact enough for taking good pictures.

I have had 3 SX series cannon camera's. Absolutely loved my SX260 HS power shot for several years, but spilling a soft drink on it kinda ended its life! This new Cannon takes great shots, but the flash is very annoying. It has to be manually lifted up, so those really quick shots that you want to capture just don't come as easy. I'll get used to it, but it's not always easy to remember until the picture doesn't "snap". Otherwise, love it!
