These little Canons keep getting better. I've had half a dozen over the years and this one is the best yet. The 40X zoom is amazing. I've gotten so many great animal pictures in just a few weeks. You can count the whiskers on a chipmunk on the other side of the yard.. It's great for landscapes too. The manual features are many and easy to find and use. Great camera!

Easy to use, numerous features, compact and light, great zoom

Just returned from 2 wk Europe vacation. Took 100's of pictures and the results were truly great. would recommend this camera to all users.

Bought this right before my trip to Scotland, had been disappointed with previous camera. So before trip I bought camera so if I did not like on trip I could return when I got back. Well I still have it! Takes great low light pictures never needed flash. Used to take pictures of pages of books and picture of an aerial view of castle that looked like I was in the plane. Many interesting shooting modes that I haven't used yet. Simple to use for me as I am not very tech savy. Zoom works great but may need a tripod to keep steady

Sometimes my friends ask why I carry a camera when my phone has one. The answer: picture quality and photographic options are so far superior in this little compact camera as compared to just a few options in my phone camera, plus easily removed and replaced memory cards for limitless opportunities. Great camera options in a small compact size at reasonable price.

I've used probably 40 cameras over the years for trips starting with a 1976 Nikon SLR up to a Nikon mirrorless. All have their merits and quirks with some being completely meh and others approaching amazing. However for our latest trip overseas I didn't want to fumble with lenses or settings, but I am used to a certain level of picture quality, so it amazed me to discover that this point and shoot delivered on all fronts. The optical zoom and stabilization are incredible--you can read the name of a boat from clear across the harbor with ease! The pictures are clear, sharp, and colorful without exhibiting any overt 'enhancing'. It's super fast going from off to shutter-ready so you won't miss anything. You can even snap some great quasi-NatGeo shots of the moon if you've a steady hand or brace. Keep in mind this is a point and shoot, so it's not going to deliver much trendy bokeh (or background blur) and other DSLR/mirrorless/micro four-thirds razzle dazzle, but for the price you get one heckuva camera with all the clarity, color accuracy, and zoom you can handle. Perfect for trips and when you want to avoid being conspicuous!

I was looking for a small camera to have in my pocket for at work. It's relatively lightweight (a little heavier than the super inexpensive cameras) and it takes amazing pictures and videos. My first week with this camera and I shot some amazing footage of wolves and orcas. I'm so happy with this purchase. Wonderful camera for a good price!

Easy to use, great pictures, easy to hold, love the wi-fi!

Was looking for smaller camera with good zoom. This does a great job as I take a lot of pics of my son playing baseball This camera zoom from the backstop goes right out there. Seems like I'm standing right by him on second base. Also great shots into the outfield! Very good compact camera

This is my second Canon Powershot. It’s a great camera to take with me when I’m on the go. It fits easily into my purse or backpack.

My wife was looking for a camera that took quality pictures but that was small and easy to use while kayaking. She did not like the quality of the waterproof cameras and did not want to spend big money on a DSL camera. This point and shoot has been perfect. It takes great pictures and with a 40x zoom she can get quality pictures of wildlife from distances.

Camera is easy to use once one reads the manual. Great features for many occasions.Still can't figure out how to erase multiple pictures rather than one at a time like my previous camera but overall am pleased with this camera. Wish it had a protection cover for the back screen so it wouldn't get scratched over time.

This is a great travel camera. It has a powerful optical magnification. It is easy to operate. The camera is great. However, I only rated it four stars. This rating is because there is a real problem with the Cannon software when connecting to a computer. It connects OK when connecting to an Android phone or tablet. But, it cannot connect to a desktop computer. When they fix that, I will rate it five stars.
