I lost my earlier version of this camera and this new version has a much better zoom. The camera actually works great! The only problem is they reversed some of the buttons, and you end up keep pushing the wrong button which ends up shutting the camera off and you have to turn it back on. I do wish the strap came pre-attached, because it is a bear to put on.

Took this on my river cruise. Even though this wasn't the smallest camera available, it was small enough to fit into my pocket and not be obtrusive. The zoom, up to 40X, was really nice, since it let me focus in on details that made the picture memorable. The battery had a long life, got me through the vacation with only a few recharges needed.

This camera took outstanding photos while I was on a bouncing bus, while on a cruise. Small and compact for travel and use.

I love this digital camera, it does everything I need and even more. It has excellent features and takes wonderful pictures.

Took it on trip to zoo and the beach. Took amazing photos of both animals and the sunset. Haven't had time to figure out what everything does so took all pictures on auto. Extremely happy with the camera. Great size too. Wanted one that would not be awkward and most likely left in car. Bought a case that goes on you belt. Works great.

I've been looking for an updated point-and-shoot camera, and I saw the Cannon 720 last summer. I had to wait till the after Thanksgiving sale before it went on sale. Love it--love the picture quality, the ease of using and the fact that it's red (I'm an Ohio State fan, after all!). I haven't used the wireless feature yet, but I will soon.

I tested out the camera today and it has great zoom. It sees details I missed. It is a little larger and heavier than I expected but makes sense considering the lens.

my cell phone and pas cameras could not take very good action shots and could not zoom enough. This camera can get close ups on stage and captures great photos of my kids in action. I also like that it fits in my cargo pockets easy when turned off for easy travel. The auto feature also takes great pictures in all kinds of different situations.

Very pleased with quality of pictures, esp. outdoors. Very good telephoto for birds etc in the distance. Came with helpful instruction booklet & easy to use. Wish it came with USB cable to download directly instead of by wifi, which I haven't programed for yet. Bought USB adapter I can plug SD camera card in to download to computer.

I like using the small point and shoot cameras because they can fit in my pockets. This one is good and takes great pics

This Canon camera replaces a cheaper, less quality digital camera and has so much more capability: pixels, battery, options, wifi. Wanted a great camera for our trip to Australia and New Zealand. Delighted with the results

Camera really works good and the zoom is awesome. Image stabilization at 40x is also good. Surely recommend to buy.

I was preparing for a Bucket List trip to Africa to go on safari. I hadn't been using anything but my phone to take pictures for the last several years. My travel companions had expensive cameras with different lenses and I hoped that they would get some great close up shots because I wouldn't be able to. I grabbed this camera the day before leaving, not wanting to rely on others for all of the photography. I still thought they would get the best shots. It turned out that everyone was thankful that I had decided to purchase this Canon PowerShot. I got great closeups and video of animals that do not sit still for people to change lenses and focus. For a relatively inexpensive aim and shoot camera, I got some great photos and video to remember this awesome trip. I can't imagine not having it to record this great experience.

I own a full-sized Canon DSLR but was in the market for a smaller camera I could take with me everywhere that would outperformed the typical cell phone camera. This camera fits the bill perfectly. It has great battery life, an excellent lens with decent zoom capability, great video quality and seems rugged enough to throw in a bag.

I really like my Canon Powershot SX720. It takes great pictures and is easy to use. I do wish that it had a view finder though. Sometimes it is hard to see the screen on the back. I also wish it would have come with a cable to connect to my computer. I was unable to connect with wifi and had to purchase a cable for it.

I live my larger and fancier cameras but in a travel situation the ease in carrying this camera and the simplicity to use and get good photos makes it an invaluable camera to have. I used it for 5 weeks in Europe and got great photos and more than usual because it was simple to have it with me when I needed it.

A zoom beyond belief in a point and shoot. What is bad about the product is no connection to download pix to computer...must use wi-fi which is impossible to set up, and takes forever to set up while hanging on the phone with Canon. I was prepared for the greater weight due to the wonderful zoom, but some may not like it.

I bought this camera as a Christmas gift for my wife. She absolutely loves it. The 40x zoom is awesome. Her old camera is a Sony and unfortunately it started having problems after only a year (doesn't focus half the time). I bought the extended warranty this time so I'm sure it will last over 3 years.... :)
