Buy a large SD card, and at least one extra battery, and you can take thousands of great photos, if you can recharge those batteries each day. If you will be away from power to recharge, get at least 3or4 extra batteries. The small camera size, combined wth 40x zoom is a wonderful combination

I purchased this camera for a family cruise. I didn't really have a chance to read the manual, but this camera was so easy to use , and the photos are beautiful

This camera takes great photos an it is quite easy to get a good picture. The red color makes it easy to locate as his newest camera. The photos make very clear focused prints and pictures that can be edited well. This would make a nice gift give someone.

Love the pictures. Camera is very heavy - especially front heavy. Too bulky. Liked the next version down better. Also takes great pics and so light weight and easy to travel with. Actually sorry I got this one. Have a difficult time remembering how to take videos. Not as intuitive.

Nice mid-range camera. An awesome 40x optical zoom lens makes it nice for long when sitting in the audience watching the kids performances.

Being a retired photographer I have to say that this camera is a fantastic choice for the experienced and hobby photographer. Pictures are exceptional and the camera is very user friendly even for the unexperienced user . The Canon photo application is easy to use as well I am highly impressed

I sent my Galaxy Camera 2 in for 'repairs'. A hairline crack in the screen. Little did I know I'd never see the camera again. But, my Geek Squad insurance came to the rescue and gave me full credit for my Samsung and I went on the hunt for a replacement. Enter the "Canon - PowerShot SX720 HS 20.3-Megapixel Digital Camera". After learning some new 'stuff' I was finally able to switch brains and get back to taking great pictures again. The zoom on this camera is amazing, with it going out to 160x in digital format. You have to have it mounted on a tripod to make use of that! The pictures are crisp and clear and allow you to crop shots with ease. The videos are good too. Sound quality is fine as well. Overall, I love this camera and it has easily replaced my 'old' Galaxy Camera 2. Granted, I'm no pro. I just wanted a 'pocket camera' that I can pull out and shoot quick pics. There's many settings on the camera I probably won't use, but for MY everyday kind of use, it's great.

When the quality of your mobile phone camera simply does not match the event, this is the perfect upgrade. The Power Shot 720 is easy to use, small enough to be convenient, and takes such great photos that our standard SLR is going to have a hard time being used moving forward.

I liked my pocket sized camera with great optical zoom. It weighs less than and is less bulky than my older Canon camera. Sadly, about 3 weeks after the year was up, brown thick goo came out around the edges of the LCD screen. (Note the date there.) I sent it off to Canon for repair and they don't do repairs on this model. They offered to replace it for 2/3 the original price. The replacement arrived promptly. Now it's a $500 camera instead of a $300 camera, because in my mind the replacement is part of the first one, but it's still nice. The one thing I didn't like to start with was that the battery format is not the same as the other camera, and my husband's camera, so now when we do a long walk on the Camino I have to carry a separate charger and I can't lend my husband my extra battery if his runs out someplace. He has to rely on his own. And I have extra stuff to carry and keep track of. But if the jinx doesn't get it the camera is nice and takes good pictures.

I really like t his camera! It's so easy to use and takes great pictures even for me!! It has a lens that does close ups too! What more could I ask for - nothing!! It will go on trips and take family pictures too!! It's great!!

The zoom is incredible yet small enough to carry. If you are looking zoom power without the bulk this is your camera. I also tried taking quick pictures one after the other and the camera had a good reaction time.

I'm a complete beginner when it comes to cameras(outside of a phone) and this camera is very easy to use and allows for such amazing pictures! It makes me feel like a professional even if I don't fully understand how to use it yet lol

I've been buying point and shoot Canon cameras for years. This is a step up and I expect it to be even better than all the others.

So far I love this camera. It is small and easy to transport and have handy at any moment. Takes great pictures for everyday activities. Much nicer than previous point and shoot cameras I have used in the past. Not as much delay time between pics and good quality and user friendly.

2nd Canon camera, got for my wife. ZOOM is terrific. She likes that it is easy to use and carry. needed a different transfer cable than her old Canon. First few pictures have been excellent. This is an excellent point/shoot cameera

Bought this for our son traveling out of the country to be able to easily share photos with us back home. So far this has been great. Once connected to WiFi, it easily transferred the pictures back to us. Seems easy to use and the pictures were great also
