    Purchased for upcoming vacations that will involve a lot of outdoor walking/hiking. Needed a smaller unit that could be tucked away and this fits the bill. Haven't had a lot of time to use it yet but it has so far proven to be fairly simple to set up and use.

    Great camera, fantastic Zoom, lightweight. Took on an Alaska cruise & was able to get great pictures of a Glacier & wonderful movie of group of 12 whales swimming together.

    I bought this as a step up from an earlier model Canon (PowerShot SD1100 Digital Elph) to have better resolution and a longer zoom distance. The camera itself is great, and I've already taken some very nice product shots for advertising purposes. But I *really* hate that I can't just plug in a USB cable and download photos to my desktop computer. Instead, I have to connect yet another device to my already quite busy WiFi, and jump through multiple hoops to do something that *should* be simple. Then I remembered that I had an SD card reader that came with another product. Fortunately, that did the trick. But I came "this close" to returning it to step back to a non-WiFi point-and-shoot camera. Canon, if you're listening, not everyone wants to connect everything under the sun to WiFi.

    Used for a month or so ..... over 1000 pictures. Works as expected. As others have noted, focus can be an issue, especially when movement is in less than ideal light. Supprisingly good landscape pictures while riding on a Motorcycle at speed in bright sunshine.

    I like the compact size combined with the 40X zoom. It easily fits into my coat pocket. The zoom is easy to hold steady. Altogether, it takes great photos and videos.

    This camera is everything I was looking for... Quality of photos is amazing, easy to use zoom and focus, many settings and filters. A point-and-shoot camera with professional quality and features. The weight, due to the built-in lens, is the only drawback.

    I have a DSLR and bought this to use on bike rides and anywhere I do not want to bring my big dslr and lenses. I upgraded from the ELPH series and the quality is excellent; comparable to my DSLR. I also like the idea you can set the aperature and shutter speed. The zoom is great for this camera but recommend a tripod or monopod

    This camera is small enough to go into a pocket with enough power to zoom in on small animals and birds at a distance. The camera is very forgiving of shots taken from a moving vehicle or with other movement.
