I wanted a good camera that would be quick and easy for others to use. With the Automatic Setting, I can have others aim and shoot activities that I am working on, and I know that they will have good pictures that I can use later in my presentations. Because of the short turn-around time from activity to presentation sometimes, I need to be able to edit the pictures for the power point presentations. Good pictures are much easier to edit. So far, the camera has done exactly what I wanted it to do.

I loved my other Cannon, it took really decent pictures in low light, where my Nikon doesn't at all. So, when I spilled beer on my Nikon shortly before summer vacation, I decided to go back to a Cannon. The photos are ok, but I'm just not that happy with the shooting modes....the toy camera is kind of weird...I don't know, I just don't like this model that much. It is smaller and lighter than my Nikon, so I keep it in my bag

Camera purchased for the size, zoom capability, and shutter speed. Works well for still and action shots. Reasonably priced.

I wanted a camera that was lightweight for travelling. This fit the bill and takes wonderful, clear pictures.

Takes wonderful photos, excellent optical zoom, great in low-light conditions. Battery has good life, but should be charged if you expect to be out all day.

This is the third Canon camera that I have owned in the last 25 years. They take amazing pictures and are easy to use. If I wouldn't have smashed my second Canon camera in a fall, I would still be using it. We like the updated features of being able to send pictures from the camera. The only thing I would like to have in it is a viewfinder in addition to the screen so that taking pictures in the sun would be easier (I had one in my first Canon). The zoom on this camera is great - so sharp and vivid!

Very happy with the purchase. Camera takes excellent photos and is very easy to operate. Also takes multiple shots which really works for us with a very active child.

This camera is easy to operate and the fact that you can get a great zoom without the hassle of changing lenses is fantastic!

Great Zoom and all, just no Pano. Takes great pics on Auto and seems very durable and is compact!

For a special vacation I wanted a camera that would photograph distant wildlife but also be convenient to carry. The 40x zoom on this Canon really can reach out. I have a close-up of a Nile crocodile that had to be over 400 yards away. I was able to take pictures of small birds that look like I was right next to them. Not all distant subjects were in focus because the camera chose other items to zero in on, but I took multiple images and that tended to deliver some acceptable pictures.

Bout to go to Germany that's why I bought this camera! Easy to use and small so it's easy for me to put in my pocket

Great compact camera that takes nice pictures. It fits nicely in my purse which makes it travel friendly and is lightweight.

Great little camera. Took a lot of pictures on a recent trip. Lots of options on camera almost like a 35mm.
