Went into store to purchase a different brand camera and after being shown this camera and its abilities purchased this one instead. Have had previous Canon cameras and have been happy. This one has done what I want in a camera - zoom and repeat photos [when set and continuously pressing button]. Down side is that the battery is rechargeable and it is not easy to find a second battery [it is expensive] as a backup when showing photos to many different people [using camera and not having any other mode for viewing handy].

This camera fits in the palm of my hand and takes great pictures with ease.

The pictures are awesome and all of the features make for a fun time. The 40 X zoom is phenomenal Wednesday high definition photo. The 80 X zoom is not as good a quality but if you're trying to get a shot of something far away it's just fine. My old camera stopped working and we were going to the inauguration and I needed to have a good camera. Stop by Best Buy and pick this one up on sale and I haven't regretted it one day.

Bought it to have a light point and shoot camera to travel. Must say it was worth the investment. Easy to use and the pictures are great.

I am a jeweler and needed a new compact camera with a full manual mode. This looked like a good fit for my needs and so I picked it up. It takes awesome photos and I am so happy. Canon is the way now the only way! The only con is that it's a bit of a beast to learn so take time and have patience. But yeah overall it's so awesome!

The camera was easy to use and we were able to take great pictures. Because the camera is portable we were able to take it on our excursions.

A quality camera extremely well built with a hefty, solid feel and a pleasure to handle. Amazing focal range for a point and shoot. Compact, easy to slip into a man’s pocket or a woman’s small bag. Enough options for an experienced photographer and simple enough for a beginner. Built in Japan, looks like it will last.

This is my go-to camera for wildlife! The zoom is amazing and color reproducing is very good. Depending on the atmosphere and amount of zoom you use there might be some blurriness but that is not the fault of the camera but the atmosphere it is trying to take the picture though. In clear air, it takes great photos. I would recommend it!

All and all nice camera. Takes great pics. Only con Is buttons are close together, so u inadvertently hit multiple buttons at once.
