I have 2 other cameras that I use regularly, but it was time for a point & shoot upgrade. I especially was attracted to the the low light capability (1st), and the long lens ratio (2nd). This camera fits my needs very well. I like it and would recommend it.

This was a birthday gift for my 12 year old who spent a lot of time using the camera on her cell to take pictures. The artistry in her pictures was excellent, but phone camera quality didn’t do it justice. Since getting this camera her pictures have so much more clarity, and she can zoom in more.

The zoom lens is fantastic. The sharpness in the zoom is even pretty good. Low light and action shots aren't great, even at full aperture. If you've got a moving kid, keep looking. Regular shots, though, look crisp and high quality. The features like custom timer (# of seconds and # of shots it takes) are great. Wifi is a bit confusing to set up, but can be done.

Great camera at a super price - shopped around and Best Buy had the lowest price with an SD Card included.

I really like the SX720HS for the zoom and easy use for what I need it is great!

I like this camera very much. I don't understand some of the comments in here with the negative ratings. It works great. It zooms great. Yes you can have a fuzzy view or picture but that is because you have to slightly depress the button to zoom the lens. I would but it again.

Good ergonomics. Sharp photos. Would be 5 stars if photos from a dark environment were sharper like the new IPhone’s. First battery charge lasted about 20-30 photos over a few days; no videos shot. We need to see if this is a recurring issue when we take our next trip, whenever that will be.

not bulky for traveling, lightweight and takes good pics.

I needed a new digital camera and went to Best Buy knowing I could find a good camera there. I looked through the selection and decided on this camera. I wanted something that would give me good quality photos. I have not learned all the features yet, but love the camera and the pictures I have taken.

I took this camera on a hiking trip after buying it and I am happy with the pictures and ease of use. Only problem was that I carried it in my back pocket when climbing and somehow damaged the mechanical lens cover that closes to protect the lens when you turn it off. Now when I turn it on it partially opens and I have to "assist" it.

The camera comes with a manual, but there's also a more detailed manual that you can download. I found I needed additional information when it came time to using the WiFi functionality to transmit my photos to my computer. The manual isn't always easy to follow, and reminds me of the tax code with all the references to other sections of the manual that you need to switch back-and-forth in order to figure something out. I've tried both transferring directly to my laptop and transferring to the Canon website. The direct transfer to my laptop worked fine with a small number of files, but didn't work with larger quantities of photos. Canon recently changed their photo archiving web site, which I've found easier to use than the previous site. I only use the Canon site as a means to get files to my laptop, not for archiving.

I have a number of predecessors of this camera and the only issue I have with it is in regards to not shooting RAW files. That said, Adobe PhotoShop CC allows you to open a JPG in Camera RAW and work with it as if it were an original RAW file and save as a DNG. I bought it primarily for the zoom capabilities. If you have a tripod, it is pretty amazing what it can capture.

There are many great features about this Canon. The sports setting is great as well as the zoom. The only reason why I put it at 4 stars is because the battery doesn't last super long and it overheats pretty quickly, too. Wish they would go back to using AA batteries, because it is easier and cheaper to buy rechargeable AA's than to have to buy extra Canon batteries.

This was a college graduation gift for my daughter. She took it on a study abroad adventure and was so happy with the picture quality. Looking at the pictures made it seem as if we were right there looking at everything first hand with her.

I love this camera. I purchased th camera before a trip to CO. It took the best pictures. I was able to use it as binoculars also. Whenever we wanted to see an animal I would use the telephoto and we would be able to see what animal it was. One of the best cameras I have had.
