Nice small compact camera

Not the best camera I've owned

I needed a camera that day, so I bought what was available a Canon SX720HS, The photos are not a sharp as my previous camera and sometimes are very blurry. It's shooting mode is very slow and it makes the subjects impatient while they wait for the camera to finish "adjusting". I was told by Best Buy that they were fazing out cameras. I've been buying cameras for over ten years from Best Buy. I have always trusted the quality of the cameras to meet my needs. This time it does not.

Did a lot of research before purchasing and can't believe how many overwhelmingly positive reviews it received. I can't believe this is the camera they were reviewing. Pictures were not all sharp or good quality, even worse with any zoom whatsoever. Took many pictures in many different modes and was not satisfied with any of them. Promptly returned this camera.

Almost a great canera

This is the reason for a 2 rating. The battery life span is about a day, even with rhe camera off. BB price matching is useless, because Sony and other manufacturers do in the industry known as price fixing. Penalizing retailers if they offer lower prices. Looking to buy a spare battery.

The screen was washed out in the sun. I took several pictures in hopes just to get one. Inside a building where the sun was not an issue it was easy to use. I believe Canon new about this problem but chose to ignore it. sorry I bought it.

My Canon PowerShot SX720 HS

It has a great lens that always produce sharp images. The only thing I don't like is that the shutter malfunctioned and I was unable to get anyone to repair it since they don't make this model any more, so I have to manually operate the shutter
