Very nice camera good quality but not the best lens

I like a camera small enough to throw in my purse. I love taking pics and videos and while cell phones have come a long way, they can't replace a true camera! While I envy people with the big lens cameras, I don't have the patience to carry that around, especially when traveling or just a night out on the town. I had the previous version of this camera and loved it until the flash broke. This version is just as awesome. Ive taken action photos as well as "normal" shots. The only odd thing on this camera is the flash, you have to "activate" it - there is no auto - unless I just haven't found it yet!

This is a small camera with may larger camera features. If you want to be creative you have many options. If you just want to point and shoot the auto feature produces great results.

We needed a compact camera for a trip abroad, one that was versatile and could be carried all day. This camera had all the features that we wanted and did everything we needed.

This camera did NOT disappoint, absolutely perfect

Went to Northern Europe, bought the Powershot SX720. It is very easy to use, has great auto focus settings and synchronizes easily with my iPhone. Was able to use without flash and capture Rembrandt photos.

My 3rd Canon "point-n-shoot" camera. All features are better than the last. However, as with most newer cameras, the optical view finder has been eliminated. Camera manufacturers must live indoors and never go in bright sunlight otherwise they would realize their mistake.

You get your money's worth from this camera. My wife loves it. Pictures/videos come out clear and we are very happy with our purchase!

Take good pictures. Only problem is I wasnt able to use hotel Wi-Fi to transfer pictures to my phone or tablet. But was able to do it with home wifi. Don't think any issue with hotel Wi-Fi as I was able to do it between phone and tablet using hotel wifi

This takes really nice pictures. I bought an earlier version of this camera about five years ago and was hoping for a 'wow factor' improvement on an updated model - didn't really see that, hence the four stars, not five. The old model was great too, but this model is very similar, just slightly updated. The issues with the old model are still there - action mode is still quite blurry in indoor lighting (good outdoors though); auto setting can still take a few seconds to set so if you are photographing a toddler there's no guarantee you can instantly capture a smile because you might be holding the button down for a few seconds before it clicks; still jealous of the quality of my brother's souped-up thousands of dollars pro camera compared to mine, ha ha (unrealistic expectations, I know.) But other than that, sturdy, reliable, takes consistently good auto pictures in most settings and has manual settings to play with as well.

Used in a concert, the picture quality, the zoom, it was amazing. The best we could do for a concert, since you can't bring large lens cameras into concerts. This camera did the job. Exceptional!!

Great camera for zooming! My other Canon GX 7 is great, but does not zoom 40X. Sometimes I am so far away and unable to zoom, I use Canon SX 720 with 40X zoom! Great camera for the price!

Takes great pictures. I am a Private Investigator and this is my back up to my DSLR. It's also my pocket camera when I go off on foot surveillance.

Sometimes, the cell phone camera isn’t enough! This camera is easy to use-and has decent zoom in comparison to a cell phone. I wanted something nice for travel, but didn’t want to have to change lenses and I wanted something that would fit in my purse!

Easy to use. Wish an instruction page came with the camera. it took a little to figure out how to review pictures that were taken. Great price as I bought it on Black Friday. It has met all of our expectations.

This camera takes amazing photos for such a small camera. The quality is amazing. If I had any knock on it, it would be that the camera is a little big to just slip in your pocket when you are on the good. That being said, its a small price to pay for such clear photos.

It is compact and light, has 40X Optical Zoom, which is nice. The picture quality is excellent. Looking forward to figuring out the rest of the features and doing some video shoots with it. Very happy with purchase.

I got this as a gift for my fiancé for real estate property pictures which it is great for and we brought it on vacation and we were both extremely impressed with the clarity of the pictures and the zoom on it.

So far a very good investment - lots of features, and takes some time with the owner's manual to understand all the capabilities - would buy again
