This was a great purchase! My new camera has great zoom like its big brother but is small and compact and so easy to take anywhere! It’s user friendly so that anyone of any or no experience is able to use it and take great shots.

I bought this camera for vlogging. The flip screen and 40x zoom is what sold me on this, not to mention the price. The zooming in doesn't make that noise like the Canon G7x does. The drawback is that there is no time lapse button feature like the G7x has. But other than that, it's a good solid hefty camera. I can also take still photos too. The photos are amazing. I give the review 4 stars. Cause there is no time lapse feature.

I've owned quite a few PowerShot models over the years -- this being the most recent. I've been using it for many months and love it. Features that I personally appreciate: 1) The super-zoom is fantastic. Really makes getting a great shot easy, from a distance. 2) The size/weight is excellent for being mobile. While I can appreciate larger format cameras, they're not always that convenient. This camera can be carried in a fanny pack, purse or pocket. 3) The flip-up view screen. This is really handy when you need to hold the camera level, but not be able to crouch behind it easily. All in all, I love it!

I've been using this camera mainly for video taking (vlogging) doesn't loose focus as others. Only thing is not so good in low lighting. Overall great camera for the price and has a flip up screen!

Great camera with lots of features. And easy to use.

Here's one of those small cameras that does better than you expect. I've had a few of these as technology improves in them as the years pass. For some reason I feel like this one has the best max zoom pictures I've been able to take. I primarily use this for capturing sports action and with those pics zoomed in from afar while plays are in motion... this thing does a whale of a job. I'd recommend it on that notion alone. The auto mode for regular picture taking is a sweet as it gets. The swiveling monitor for selfies or video blogging is a bonus. Our family has used that feature for both purposes.

I. Bought this camera because I love to use zoom whilw traveling and I also have the Nikon P90 but it is tiring to carry those heavy cameras during my trips and this was an alternative solution for me. The quality of the pictures is good and I am still on the learning curve to improve quality using features of it.

Takes good pictures. The features that I have used are easy to use. The only drawback is that there is no eyepiece to look through, only a screen which makes seeing what you are photographing difficult on sunny days. An example I have would be when out on a boat photographing whales. Between the bright sun and the reflection of the sun on the water, picture taking was a challenge. An eye hood would have been helpful. Still... a great day. Also make certain you have your battery charger and spare batteries charged and ready. It seems that batteries lose charge quickly when in use. The only reason I don't recommend this camera is due to the lack of an eye hood.

Very nice small and compact camera. Takes beautiful pictures and is very very easy to use. Takes zoomed pictures very nicely and gets me closer to the action without bulk.
